As part of its Next on Netflix lineup, the platform revealed additional details about its German remake of a quirky Swedish dramedy, which was also broadcast globally across two seasons between 2020 and 2022.
Revealed last September as part of Seriesly Berlin, the German take is currently titled Liebe Und Anarchie with an international working title of Love & Chaos. It is produced by btf, the producers of How To Sell Drugs Online (Fast), which broadcast its fifth and final season in 2025.
The show will star Ludwig Simon (who was part of the ensemble cast for We Are The Wave in 2019) and Anne Schäfer, and the logline reads very much like the opening of the original Swedish show:
“The married management consultant Sophie is given the assignment to modernize the long-established traditional Hamburg publishing house “Blomberg & Ulmann.” There, she begins a provocative game with the young IT technician Max, in which they challenge each other to break social conventions. In doing so, they not only throw the old-fashioned team into chaos but also become dangerously close to one another…”
The original Love & Anarchy ran for two seasons and was cancelled in 2022. Just as the original, in which series creator Lisa Langseth wrote and/or directed most episodes, this version will be led by an all-female creative team, with directors Charlotte Rolfes and Hermine Huntgeburth and writers Elena Senft and Laura Lackmann. The show has been shooting in Hamburg since the fall of 2025 and is expected to premiere on Netflix globally later this year.

The series is set to premiere in 2026 on Netflix globally and comes alongside at least 16 other titles from Netflix Germany, with other standout highlights including returning shows The Empress and Murder Mindfully, plus titles like The Trap and Unfamiliar.
