Travel plans are top of mind for many British Columbians, and those ready to jet off to warm destinations from Vancouver are in for a treat from Flair Airlines.
The Edmonton-based airline has announced a new nonstop service from Vancouver International
Flair’s first-in-Canada service to Mexico’s Bajío region launches on Oct. 3. The airline revealed that fares for the weekly flights will start at $189.
According to Flair, the new route will help to strengthen connectivity between the two countries.
“Welcoming BJX into our network marks the first-ever direct connection between the Bajío region and Canada,” said Len Corrado, CEO of Flair Airlines.
“We’re making it easier for customers to discover this vibrant region with travel that is reliable, easy, and affordable, and built for memorable moments.”
The Bajío region is north of Mexico City and is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and economic activity.
Travellers can discover colourful towns hundreds of years old, explore vast scenery, and try delicious foods during their next visit.
“We are very excited to launch this new connection between Vancouver, Canada, and the Bajío region,” said Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, the Governor of Guanajuato, in a statement. “We are bringing more of Guanajuato to the world, a destination with a unique identity, rich cultural heritage, and a high-value tourism offering,
“This route not only makes new experiences more accessible but also helps strengthen the ties between our communities and create more opportunities for our people.”
If you fancy some domestic travel this spring or summer, Flair is introducing a nonstop flight from Vancouver to Montréal at a great price.
