Fort Edmonton Park is bringing some classic horror movies to its 1920s-style theatre

5 October 20263 Mins Read

Spooky Tuesdays at the Capitol is showcasing a whole bunch of scary movies at Fort Edmonton Park this October, including some fan-favourite horror classics.

Every Tuesday this month, Fort Edmonton Park will be showing a different horror movie each week leading up to Halloween on Oct. 31. These movie nights will be taking place in the park’s historic 1920s-style Capitol Theatre, an iconic recreation of the original from 1929.

If you’re ready for a spooky thrill this fall, Spooky Tuesdays are going to deliver. Grab some popcorn, get a pop, and prepare yourself for the ultimate horror movie night experience.

What movies are playing during Spooky Tuesdays at the Capitol?

Each movie will play at 7:30 p.m. every Tuesday this October, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. for concessions and seat selection, as seating is first-come, first-served. All tickets, across all shows this October, are $15 plus tax per person.

As for the movies themselves, the lineup includes:

As the Front Gate is closed for the season, tickets will only be available for purchase online.

What are some important things to know before attending?

Those visiting for Spooky Tuesdays should note that no outside food or drink will be permitted inside. However, there will be a concession available on-site to purchase from for those interested.

According to Fort Edmonton Park, parking is available for those driving behind the Capitol Theatre in Parking Lot G. Individuals are asked to drive down the service road and check in with the Guardhouse upon arrival, as there is no entry through the Front Entry Plaza.

The Park does not recommend using the Edmonton Transit System, as you will not be able to use the service road to get to the meeting point.

Whether you’re going with a loved one, your family, or a whole bunch of friends, these exciting movie nights are going to be a blast. Don’t hesitate to grab a ticket, because you’re going to be screaming at the screen before you know it.

When: Every Tuesday in October 2026
Time: Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; Movie at 7:30 p.m.
Where: 1920 Street, Fort Edmonton Park, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $15 plus tax
