Frontiers of Pandora and Madden NFL 26

Xbox Game Pass had a solid start to the year with games like Resident Evil Village and Death Stranding: Director’s Cut being added in January. This month’s additions continue that trend with plenty of AAA and under-the-radar games hitting the service in the first half of February, like Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza, and Relooted.

From The Division and Star Wars Outlaws developer Massive Entertainment, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora brings Ubisoft’s open-world formula to the home of Na’vi. Frontiers of Pandora received a mixed response from critics, with Polygon’s review calling it “more or less a Na’vi cultural immersion program with lackluster political cosplay and the conversational mouthfeel of a Ted Lasso episode.” Originally a first-person action-adventure game, it can now be played in third-person, something that even the Frontiers of Pandora developers think makes the game better. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora arrives on Game Pass Feb. 17.

The Yakuza series’ Hawaiian adventure is available today on Xbox Game Pass. Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii follows an amnesiac Goro Majima getting up to pirate-themed hijinks across Hawaii, like naval battles and hunting for treasure. “There is so much to love in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. It is so much more than a silly diversion to tide fans over between mainline entries,” Polygon’s review stated. Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is packed with things to do, and there’s a minigame for everyone.

Only one title is leaving in the immediate future when Madden NFL 24 leaves Game Pass on Feb. 15. However, Game Pass won’t be without a football sim with Madden NFL 26 arriving this week.
