Ghost of Tsushima gets huge discount in PlayStation Store sale

28 April 20262 Mins Read

2020 might have been a terrible year for your mental health, but it was a fantastic year for video games. That 12-month stretch saw the release of several all-time bangers, including Hades, The Last of Us Part 2, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima. The action-adventure game set in 13th-century Japan during the Mongol invasion earned a whopping nine nominations at The Game Awards in 2020 and took home two trophies for Art Direction and Player’s Voice.

Now, as part of the PlayStation Store’s Big Games, Big Deals sale, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is available for a whopping discount. The PS4-only version of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is now $19.79 from $59.99 (67% off), while the PS5 version (which is also playable on PS4) has been discounted to $29.39 from $69.99 ($58% off).

Released in 2021, the enhanced Director’s Cut edition features quite a few improvements over the base game, including improved lip-sync animations to accompany the Japanese audio track, faster load times, enhanced resolution and frame rates, haptic feedback for PS5 DualSense controllers, and 3D audio support. It also includes the Iki Island story expansion, which sees protagonist Jin Sakai investigating rumors of another Mongol incursion that forces him to relive some traumatic moments from his past.

If you’re looking to flesh out your PlayStation library, there’s a nice mix of recent and classic games on sale. The Resident Evil 4 remake for PS4 and PS5 is marked down to $19.99 from $49.99. Last year’s indie platforming sensation Hollow Knight: Silksong gets a nice 20% discount to $15.99. The deluxe edition of another of our 2025 favorites, Silent Hill f, is half off at $39.99. One of Polygon’s best games of 2023, Alan Wake 2 gets a whopping 70% discount to $17.99. Both the standard and deluxe editions of Bungie’s stylish extraction shooter Marathon, released just last month, are 20% off.

PlayStation’s Big Games, Big Deals sale ends on May 6.
