Go for the thrill, stay for the views: Canada’s highest suspension bridge is in B.C.

20 March 20262 Mins Read

Situated in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, Golden is a dream to visit year-round, but its famed Golden Skybridge is a huge draw for visitors far and wide who want to admire the mountain scenery from above.

As Canada’s highest suspension bridge, the Skybridge offers thrill-seekers unparalleled views of the Columbia Valley below and the surrounding Rocky and Purcell mountains. Visitors will walk 426 feet above an expansive canyon amongst the treetops and clouds.

The Skybridge consists of two connected bridges, though there’s plenty more to explore at this beloved attraction once your sky-high journey is complete. Visitors can take a ride through the forest aboard the Railrider Mountain Coaster, check out a rock climbing wall, try axe-throwing, and soar through the sky on a scenic zipline.

Those in search of a quick dose of adrenaline can safely free-fall for a moment on the Canyon Drop.

2026 tickets and info

According to its website, Golden Skybridge is set to reopen for the season on May 1, 2026, with tickets now available for purchase online.

A Bridge Pass ($50 per adult, $32.49 per child) gets you access to the Skybridge, while an Adventure Pass ($106.99 per adult, $69.54 per child) adds access to the Railrider Mountain Coaster, the Canyon Edge Challenge Course, and the Sky Zipline.

Whether you’re skiing at the world-class Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, embarking on a heli-ski tour, or exploring one of the six stunning national parks at its doorstep (Banff, Glacier, Jasper, Kootenay, Mount Revelstoke and Yoho), a trip to Golden is well worth the hours spent in your car.

Plus, the Skybridge is the ultimate stopover destination if you’re travelling between B.C. and Alberta.

How to get there: Drive seven hours and 50 minutes from Vancouver to Golden via BC-5 N and Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 E
