Gracie Abrams announced some exciting news for her fans.
The singer-songwriter surprise announced on Wednesday morning via social media that she will be releasing a new song. Titled “Here You Come, There You Go,” the track was written with Jim-E Stack and Amy Allen, and will be out this Thursday.
Many fans are assuming this will be the lead single for a deluxe version of her most recent album, Daughter from Hell, which was released this past summer and marked her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200.
“I love this song so. much. and writing it with @jimestack and @amyallen made me feel like a kid,” the 27-year-old singer wrote as her caption. “I am so excited and I hope you enjoy.”

Raised in Los Angeles and the daughter of film director JJ Abrams and Katie McGrath, Abrams started releasing music under Interscope Records in 2019. Two EPs and a handful of singles later, she released her debut album, Good Riddance, in 2023, which got her nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys, and served as one of the openers for Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour.
In June 2024, Abrams released her second studio album, The Secret of Us, and the deluxe version included “That’s So True”, which went viral on TikTok and peaked in charts across the United States, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. In addition, the fifth track on The Secret of Us is a collaboration with Swift and was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.

Her most recent project, Daughter from Hell, was released this past July and made history as her first album to debut on the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. On July 26, Abrams reposted Billboard‘s Instagram announcement to her own story, writing that this was “nuts.”
“Whoa thank you so much,” she wrote. “this is nuts and entirely your doing!!! Thank you,” she continued, adding a red heart emoji.
Songs from Daughter from Hell include the title track and the two lead singles “Hit the Wall” and “Look At My Life.” Previously unreleased songs that she performed on The Secret of Us Tour are also on the record, including “Death Wish” and “Cold Goodbyes.”
“I love every single person I made this album with,” Abrams wrote as her caption the day the album was released. “We really hope you enjoy it. Thank you so much for listening. I cannot wait to see you on tour❤️.”
Daughter from Hell was made with Aaron Dessner, along with collaborations from Bon Iver, Dan Nigro, Bryce Dessner, Michael Blasko, Edgar Barrera, Audrey Hobert, Paul Mescal and Marcus Mumford.
Is there a deluxe version of Daughter from Hell on the way?
Though Abrams hasn’t explicitly announced a deluxe version for Daughter from Hell, she has been teasing the possibility over the past week. Plus, her two previous albums both have deluxe versions, which were released three months after the original. Some fans are expecting Abrams may release it along with “Here You Come, There You Go.”
This past Sunday, many noticed Abrams changed her profile picture on Instagram to a zoomed-up photo of her cheek, before it was changed on Wednesday to the cover of “Here You Come, There You Go.”
In addition, the “i miss you, i’m sorry” singer has been performing at smaller venues around New York City this past week, including the Cherry Lane Theater as part of The Rolling Stone Residency and Irving Plaza in Manhattan for SiriusXM Small Stage Series, where she performed “Crazy Girl,” an unreleased song Abrams has performed multiple times during The Secret of Us Tour.
Two days after she put out Daughter from Hell, Abrams released two additional songs – “Love Letter” and “Out of Nowhere” – exclusively as a limited-time digital download on iTunes. Many are hoping these two will be available for streaming on Spotify and Apple Music soon — possibly as a part of Daughter from Hell (Deluxe).
