Here are all the exciting activities Edmonton’s Telus World of Science has coming up

13 July 20263 Mins Read

Telus World of Science never fails to bring excitement to Edmonton, and this season is no different.

From the Summer of WOW to their adults-only fundraiser, there’s always something interesting going on at this centre. It’s the go-to spot for school field-trips, an afternoon with the kids, or an early evening messing around with all your friends. This season, it’s jam-packed with activities that the whole family will enjoy.

It’s always been a staple in Edmonton, but there’s so much for you to uncover.

Here’s everything going on at the Telus World of Science

Currently, the featured exhibit is Dogs! A Science Tail. You’ll be able to explore how science is helping better understand our tail-wagging companions and what makes that relationship one of the most successful interspecies partnerships of all time.

You’ll be able to train a virtual dog, enjoy a special version of “Pup Culture” Jeopardy, and discover so much more about these furry creatures we call friends. Not to mention, you won’t want to miss R-D, their new robot dog, walking around and showing off all its tricks.

Besides the exhibits themselves, there’s a whole lot more going on this summer. The Summer of Wow ensures that no matter what day you head on down to the centre, there’s going to be something exciting awaiting you.

Every Sunday this July, they’re even holding ice-cream competitions where you’ll be able to taste the contenders and vote for which scoop should advance to the next round! It’s part science experiment, part flavour tournament, and part excuse to eat ice cream in the name of research.

There’s also the evening laser shows happening this season. This fusion of sound and light will have you absolutely mesmerized. Whether it’s K-Pop Demon Hunters or ABBA, there’s a little something for everyone.

Also, it’s not happening until October, but I’d still like to highlight Where Science Meets Cocktails, the science centre’s premier adults-only fundraiser evening. This unforgettable night will be packed with local bites, inventive cocktails, hands-on science, and live entertainment.

Get your tickets before they sell out, because this is a night you’re going to want to attend.

For a full list of activities and events at Telus World of Science, I’d recommend checking their website before your arrival. But I think I covered all of the big things you’ll want to know coming up.

I’m definitely itching to buy a ticket, and I’m sure you are too. Don’t miss out on everything the centre is offering Edmonton this summer.

When: Year-round
Time: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 11211 142nd St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $26.95+
