IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), one of the world’s leading hotel companies, today announced the signing of Holiday Inn Resort Luang Prabang Naluang Hill. Set to open in 2027, the resort will mark IHG’s debut in UNESCO-listed Luang Prabang and expand the company’s presence in Laos.

In partnership with Naluang International Resort and Hotel Limited, the 101-key resort will introduce the Holiday Inn Resort brand to the ancient capital of Laos celebrated for its rich cultural heritage, centuries-old temples and unique blend of Lao and French colonial influences. Situated on Naluang Hill, the property will offer sweeping views over Luang Prabang while remaining within easy reach of the city’s famed UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ancient Town and cultural attractions.

Holiday Inn is one of the world’s most recognised and trusted hotel brands, bringing people together through memorable experiences and warm hospitality. Holiday Inn Resort Luang Prabang Naluang Hill will introduce the brand’s signature family-friendly experiences, including the Kids Stay & Eat Free programme, alongside a welcoming resort atmosphere to the heart of Luang Prabang.

Shi’ai Liang, Senior Director, Development, South East Asia & Korea, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said, “Luang Prabang is one of Southeast Asia’s most captivating destinations, renowned for its rich cultural heritage, natural beauty and enduring appeal among domestic and international travellers.

As demand for quality leisure travel experiences continues to grow across the region, we see significant opportunities in destinations that offer authentic cultural connections alongside exceptional hospitality. Beyond its strong leisure appeal, Luang Prabang is also benefiting from improving connectivity and growing demand for meetings, incentives and corporate retreats.

Our partnership with Naluang International Resort and Hotel Limited will introduce one of the most trusted and globally recognised hotel brands to Luang Prabang and support its continued growth as a leading leisure and meetings hub in Laos.”

Recognised as one of Laos’ premier tourism destinations, Luang Prabang attracts visitors from around the world with its UNESCO-listed heritage, riverside setting, vibrant local culture and iconic attractions, including Mount Phousi, Kuang Si Falls, Pak Ou Caves and Mekong River experiences. Growing regional connectivity, supported by Luang Prabang International Airport and high-speed rail links enhances the destination’s growing appeal.

Holiday Inn Resort Luang Prabang Naluang Hill will feature 101 guestrooms, suites and villas designed to provide a relaxing resort experience. Facilities include four food and beverage venues, a swimming pool, fitness centre, spa, and more than 500 square metres of meeting spaces, supporting both small-to-medium-sized events and retreats.
