Hotel Orielle Opens on Savannah Riverfront

11 September 20262 Mins Read

In Brief: The Bohemian Savannah Riverfront has been renamed Hotel Orielle, an Autograph Collection Hotel

Hotel Orielle is a 75-room property on Savannah’s riverfront. Its name references the three-panel oriel window of the 1800s and emphasizes perspective, observation and noticing.

The hotel’s lobby includes a three-panel mixed-media installation by Savannah College of Art and Design alumna Lillian Blades that references the Lowcountry marsh landscape. An abstract floral painting by SCAD alumna and former professor Katherine Sandoz is also displayed in the lobby.

Other artwork includes salon-style gallery installations, digital steampunk artwork and a 33-foot custom graphic mural on the rooftop. The mural incorporates elements of Savannah and its maritime history.

Hotel Orielle offers live music, daily river and tide notes, and brass spyglass binoculars at Rocks on the Roof each evening at dusk. Rocks on the Roof is identified as the tallest rooftop along River Street and has introduced a signature cocktail called The Orielle.

Johnny Salaverria has been appointed executive chef and oversees Rocks on the Roof and Coastal 15 Fish House. His culinary background includes Venezuelan roots and a career shaped by Savannah.

Coastal 15 Fish House has introduced a new seafood-focused menu. Items include the Tackle Box, with raw seafood, terrines and dips, and the Seafood Board, a shareable seafood offering.
