How Skip and McDonald’s are fuelling Calgarians during festival season and beyond with incredible BOGO Deals

3 July 20264 Mins Read

Festival season in Calgary doesn’t take any breaks. And to keep up, you need to fuel up with good food! Giddy up!

Skip and McDonald’s® Canada are teaming up to keep Calgarians fuelled and fully in the moment all season long. No matter if you’re heading out for a day packed with music and events, grabbing a quick bite between activities, or winding down after the final set, Skip makes sure delicious food is only a few taps away.

Deals worth showing up hungry for

Skip will be serving up can’t-miss exclusive offers in Calgary designed for every kind of festival-goer, from the early risers to those who stay out way past their bedtime.

Until July 12, customers can enjoy a McDonald’s® BOGO Quarter Pounder with Cheese® offer, available daily from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. There’s also a BOGO Egg McMuffin® with Cheese offer, running daily from 4 a.m. to 11 a.m. through August 2, exclusively on Skip.

In other words: breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a midnight snack are all officially covered!

The ultimate Calgary festival guide

But this is about more than just food, it’s about keeping the momentum going. To help Calgarians navigate one of the busiest — and most exciting — weeks of the summer, Skip is teaming up with four Calgary-based content creators who are each bringing their own take on how to “Skip to the good part” during festival season.

These creators are sharing insider tips, their fave eats, and spotlighting how Skip fits seamlessly into festival week routines.

Just take it from beauty & lifestyle content creator Gretzie Parth: “My sister and I have been ordering the BOGO Quarter Pounder with Cheese® from McDonald’s® Canada on Skip while we’re getting ready, because the secret to actually enjoying a full day at the rodeo is making sure you eat before you leave. No food lines, no showing up hangry!”

Fashion, sports, and music creator Andie Jey shares this sentiment, warning not to let the getting-ready chaos be the reason you leave the house stressed and starving. Just order from McDonald’s® Canada on Skip, so you can get ready and relax while your food is delivered right to you!

Former Miss Universe Canada Siera Bearchell’s secret to getting through festival weekend is simple: Don’t skip breakfast!

“Our mornings are pure chaos — getting the whole family ready and out the door before a full day on the grounds,” she says. “The BOGO Egg ‘N Cheese McMuffin® from McDonald’s® Canada on Skip has been a lifesaver. Two McMuffins, one order, and we actually show up to the day fed.”

Meanwhile, foodie Ty Bridgwater suggests to just do as much as you possibly can during the weekend. After all, it only comes around once a year. “These are the most alive 10 days in the city. And when you’re completely wiped after a full morning out, have lunch sorted before you even think about it… from McDonald’s® Canada on Skip.”

Even more summer fuel

McDonald’s® isn’t the only way Skip is keeping Calgarians going this season. Across popular Calgary restaurants, there’s something for every craving and every kind of plan.

Until July 5, enjoy a KFC BOGO Poutine, or a BOGO Canadian Burger from The Canadian Brewhouse.

Hosting a backyard BBQ? From July 6 to 12, you can get 50 per cent off grocery orders of $50 (up to $25 off) and stock up on everything you need.

And, from July 6 to 19, you can make the most of a Church’s Texas Chicken BOGO with 3-piece Chicken combo. Yum!

So whether you’re heading out for a full day of fun or just looking to treat yourself to a delicious meal, Skip has you covered for festival weekend and beyond.

All you need to do is show up hungry!

Download the Skip app or order online now to skip to the good part.
