Jimothy, the beloved internet raccoon, is now a sidekick in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4, and they’re available for free from a Fortnitemares quest. However, there’s a catch: You need to find a Dumpster Dive sprite and extract them. Finding specific sprites in Fortnite can be pretty difficult as it’s random, but there’s a guaranteed spawn if you’re willing to take on a scary foe.
Here’s how to get the Jimothy sidekick for free in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4.
How to get Jimothy for free in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4
To get Jimothy for free in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4, you must find and extract a Dumpster Dive sprite.
The Dumpster Dive sprite is guaranteed to drop from Freddy Kruger, who is a boss found in Nightmare Neighborhood.
There’s a chance that you drop into Nightmare Neighborhood, and there’s no boss marker on your map. Don’t worry, as Freddy Kruger is still there, he just disguised himself as someone else. In our games, he’s been disguised as The Order. If you try to interact with them, he’ll turn back into his usual self and start to attack you.
As Nightmare Neighborhood is a new POI, players are bound to land there immediately, so it can be a bit difficult to defeat Freddy Kruger by yourself or even grab the Dumpster Dive sprite after it’s all over. Instead, you can find a Dumpster Dive sprite from cheat codes around the map at your own leisure.
After you get your hands on a Dumpster Dive sprite, you extract through normal means or use a portable extractor. We recommend using a portable extractor, as it’s the fastest way to extract your sprite.
Once you have Jimothy, you’ll also unlock their sidekick quest. Earn sidekick points with Jimothy to earn three rewards:
