Invesco and SPREA acquire Radisson Collection Hotel Bilbao in Spain

Global investment manager Invesco Real Estate, together with SPREA (Spanish bank Santander’s private-banking real estate investment division), has acquired the five-star, 137-room Radisson Collection Hotel, Gran Via Bilbao in northern Spain, for an amount reported to be €42 million (€306,600 per room). The property, formerly Santander’s headquarters, is situated in central Bilbao next to the city’s main train station Abando Indalecio Prieto. The hotel includes a restaurant, rooftop bar, four meeting rooms and a swimming pool. It is leased to the Radisson Hotel Group under a long-term agreement.

King’s Cross Group acquires Great Northern Hotel in London from Kaya

Real estate development company King’s Cross Group, a partnership between Australia’s largest pension fund, AustralianSuper, and Federated Hermes, has acquired the leasehold interest in the five-star, 88-room Kaya Great Northern Hotel in London, UK, from Kaya Hotels UK, a subsidiary of Turkish owner-operator Kaya Turistik Tesisleri Titreyengol Otelcilik A.S., for £20 million (£227,300 per room). The property is situated at London’s King’s Cross and St Pancras International train stations. The hotel includes a restaurant, bar and three meeting rooms. Kaya will continue operating the hotel under a long-term lease. 

Dorobe acquires Hotel San Fermín in Málaga from Navis Capital

Spanish owner-operator Dorobe Hotels has acquired the three-star, 316-room Hotel San Fermín in Málaga, Spain, from Spanish private equity firm Navis Capital Partners. The property is situated in the beach resort town of Benalmádena on Spain’s southern Mediterranean coast, about 12 kms from Málaga Airport. The hotel includes a restaurant, bar, two swimming pools and a tennis court. The acquisition is part of Dorobe’s broader expansion strategy to strengthen its presence in Andalusia and across the Spanish coast.

Épopée Gestion and Vicartem acquire Hôtel Escale Oceania Pornichet-La Baule in France from Oceania Hôtels

French investment management company Épopée Gestion, on behalf of its Épopée Hôtels I fund, together with French property management company Vicartem, has acquired the three-star, 95-room Hôtel Escale Oceania Pornichet-La Baule in Pornichet, France, from French owner-operator Oceania Hôtels. The beachfront hotel is situated on France’s Atlantic coast, about a one-hour drive west of Nantes. The hotel includes a breakfast restaurant, bar and four meeting rooms. The new owners plan to undertake extensive renovations of the hotel beginning in late 2026, upgrading it to four-star standard. Vicartem’s hotel management company Younight Hospitality will support the repositioning of the hotel.

Starhotels acquires Villa Blu Capri Hotel in Capri, Italy

Italian owner-operator Starhotels has acquired the five-star, 19-room Villa Blu Capri Hotel in Capri, Italy. The hotel includes a restaurant and outdoor swimming pool and is situated in Anacapri. Starhotels currently manages 29 four-star and five-star hotels across Italy. In April 2025, Starhotels also acquired the four-star, 59-room Hermitage Hotel & Resort in Forte dei Marmi, Italy, as reported in this newsletter.

 Flandrin Patrimoine acquires Hotel Sublim by Sweett in Paris

French real estate investment company Flandrin Patrimoine has acquired the three-star, 19-room Hotel Sublim by Sweett in Paris, France, from an undisclosed family-owned real estate company, for an amount reported to be €8 million (€421,100 per room). The property is situated in Paris’ 15th district near the Gare Montparnasse train station. Flandrin plans to invest €1 million (€52,600 per room) to upgrade the property to a four-star hotel.
