Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center has completed a $70 million renovation project, coinciding with the property’s 20-year milestone in downtown Denver. The renovation includes a comprehensive redesign of all 1,100 guestrooms and suites, as well as enhancements to the hotel’s gathering and event spaces.
The project follows previous updates to the hotel’s dining venues in 2018 and 2019, which included Former Saint Craft Kitchen and Taps, Peaks 27th Floor Lounge, and Assembly Hall Bar + Market. Public spaces were also updated during that period, featuring new design elements, flexible seating areas, and a collection of more than 150 works of art by over 50 Colorado-based artists curated in partnership with Nine Dot Arts.
The latest renovation introduces new hard and soft goods in guestrooms, such as natural wood, stone, porcelain, and vegan leather. Rooms feature functional under-TV storage, USB-C charging ports, enhanced lighting, and expanded work areas. Select rooms offer lounge seating with city and mountain views. Bathrooms have been redesigned with illuminated mirrors, upgraded vanities, glass-enclosed showers or new bathtubs, and large-format amenities.
A new meeting space, Summit Five, has been added as part of the renovation. Located on the fifth floor, the 891-square-foot space is positioned as an extension of the Denver City Terrace, an outdoor venue with city views, and is intended for small meetings and gatherings. The hotel now offers over 60,000 square feet of flexible event space.
During the renovation, approximately 90 percent of furniture, mattresses, lighting, and artwork from previous guestrooms were resold and diverted from landfills. Newly installed bathroom shower pans were created using recycled materials, with each pan composed of about 450 recycled plastic bottles, totaling nearly half a million bottles reused.
The renovation encompassed guestrooms, corridors, and elevator landings, and was completed in 14 months while the hotel remained operational. Local vendors involved in the project included DLR Group, Artaic Group, Benjamin West, and Milender White.
To mark the completion of the renovation and the hotel’s 20-year milestone, Hyatt Regency Denver is offering special packages, including the Regency Reimagined package and a Bed & Breakfast option. Additionally, the hotel is offering $20 off per person for wedding packages booked by May 31, 2026, for events held before December 31, 2027, with terms detailed in the wedding contract.
