IHG Signs Agreement for Holiday Inn Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu, India

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Thanishq Grande Hotels & Resorts to develop Holiday Inn Sriperumbudur, a 200-room hotel scheduled to open in Q1 2029 in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu.

The hotel will feature standard rooms and suites, three dining options, a ballroom, a swimming pool, and a fitness center. It is positioned to serve corporate, spiritual, and transit demand in Sriperumbudur, a hub for industrial, historic, and religious sites.

This marks the third hotel signing between IHG Hotels & Resorts and Thanishq Grande Hotels & Resorts. The project aims to address demand in a region experiencing growth in industrial and commercial activity. Sriperumbudur benefits from its proximity to Chennai port, its location along the Chennai Bangalore highway, and ongoing infrastructure development. The area includes Software Technology Parks, automotive and electronics manufacturers, and the Aerospace Park at Vallam Vadagal. Growth in logistics and warehousing is also contributing to sustained demand for branded hospitality in the region.

IHG Hotels & Resorts currently operates 51 hotels across six brands in India: Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza, voco Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort, and Holiday Inn Express. The company has a pipeline of 89 hotels expected to open in the next three to five years.
