Here’s to quoting just one of the many hit songs by Destiny’s Child — and now, they’re back in the spotlight as some exciting news just dropped about the beloved girl group.
“We’re about to market a bunch of new remixes, some you’ve never heard before,” Mathew Knowles, Beyoncé‘s father who managed the trio, told SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio on Wednesday, July 22, per Rolling Stone — adding that the new music would arrive in the “next 30 days.”
Knowles, 74, continued, “We have a number of remixes that have never been released, and we’ll be putting those out soon. We have some guest rappers on it, but it’s the girls on them. And then there’s some that are dance mixes, and then there’s some that are just regular urban mixes. So there’s a combination. We have so much music that hadn’t been put out yet on Destiny’s Child.”
Rolling Stone also noted that Knowles teased Missy Elliot as one of the rappers involved in the remixes — before stopping himself.
Destiny’s Recent Milestone
Last week, Destiny’s Child took to social media to celebrate the 27th anniversary of perhaps their most iconic album — and fans know the one. “Receipts were kept. 🧾 Rules were written. 🖊️ Classics were made. 💫 Celebrating The Writing’s on the Wall, released on this day in 1999,” reads the caption of the group’s Instagram post on July 14. Fans since flooded the post’s comments section to bask in the nostalgia and show their appreciation for the group — and their LP, of course. “My Fav @destinyschild Album, can we get a reunion tour or performance? That’s all I ask,” wrote one Instagram user, while another person commented, “Your best body of work!🔥🔥🔥🔥.”
