Marking its 10th anniversary as part of the Four Seasons family, Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai announces the appointment of Joris Quintelier as Resort Manager. Bringing more than 15 years of experience across some of the brand’s most celebrated destinations — including Paris, Seychelles, Philadelphia, Doha, and Hong Kong — Joris joins as the Resort celebrates a decade under the Four Seasons brand, bringing extensive international luxury hospitality experience to support its next phase of growth, guest experience innovation, and talent development.

“We’re very excited to welcome Joris to our celebrated coastal retreat,” says Marcel Oostenbrink, General Manager of Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai. “His breadth of experience, combined with his people-first approach, makes him exactly the right person to help shape the next phase of our Resort while honouring the heritage that makes it one of Vietnam’s most iconic destinations.”

A Four Seasons veteran, Joris has helmed food and beverage operations across diverse settings, from intimate island resorts to large-scale urban hotels and acclaimed dining destinations—including a career-defining tenure as Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, home to seven Michelin stars at the time. With each experience, he honed his ability to balance operational rigour with the intuitive warmth for which Four Seasons is renowned. Throughout his career, he has led high-performing teams, elevated culinary concepts, and contributed to operational excellence across some of the brand’s most prestigious properties.

In his current role at Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Joris oversees every element of the guest experience, including the dining portfolio, wellness program, newly renovated villas, landscaped gardens and the thoughtful service moments that define each stay. As the Resort continues to evolve and refine its offerings, he will play a key role in developing future leaders, strengthening cross-functional collaboration, and fostering strategic partnerships with trusted local partners.

“I’m honoured to join Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai at such a pivotal moment in its journey,” says Joris. “The Resort combines everything I love about hospitality: authentic human connection, a strong sense of place, and meaningful experiences. There are so many hidden details that don’t appear on any itinerary yet play an integral role in the guest journey, such as the quiet traditions of our on-site temple or the dedicated gardening team whose sole objective is caring for the 4,500 coconut trees across our grounds. “I look forward to working alongside our talented team to build on the Resort’s remarkable legacy while creating new experiences that celebrate the culture, beauty, and spirit of Central Vietnam.”

With a leadership approach centred around people, Joris believes exceptional hospitality begins with an empowered team. Working across different cultures has also sharpened his instinct for local rhythms—key to guiding day-to-day operations at Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, where the emphasis is less on scale than on making guests feel genuinely understood and immersed in the spirit of Hoi An.

A lifelong passion for food and beverage continues to shape Joris’s leadership philosophy and he looks forward to further strengthening the Resort’s culinary offerings. Equally important to him is fostering a culture of curiosity and learning, ensuring that teams are equipped to not only deliver memorable moments today but also shape the journeys of tomorrow. As he explains, “Our goal is to preserve the incredible legacy of Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai while gently guiding its evolution into the future.”
