JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa has completed a $25 million renovation of The Spa at Camelback Inn, marking the official opening of the newly transformed facility.
The Spa at Camelback Inn, originally opened in 1989, has undergone a $25 million renovation and officially reopened at JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa. The 32,000-square-foot spa was redesigned by DesignOne-Studio and EDG, featuring natural materials and design elements inspired by the Sonoran Desert. The new layout includes a lobby with French limestone, limewashed plaster walls, custom stone mosaics, travertine, and Jerusalem Gold limestone. The space incorporates natural cacti sculptures, greenery, and art installations by Dustin Gimbel and Charabati Bizzarri.
The spa’s amenities include custom furniture and lighting, S-shaped chandeliers made from agave fiber, a bespoke music program, and signature aromatics. The outdoor pool area features bioclimatic cabanas, expanded lounging areas, and gathering spaces with views of Mummy and Camelback mountains. The redesigned outdoor experience also includes sculptural desert planting and panoramic mountain vistas.
Inside, the spa offers a Wellness Circuit with a Himalayan salt sauna, aromatherapy steam cavern, cold therapies, limestone infrared loungers, and a sunlit solarium with an 18-person vitality pool. The Sanctuary relaxation space provides floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Camelback Mountain, while the Stillness Lounge is equipped with Mind-Sync Harmonic Wellness Loungers, weighted blankets, eye masks, and noise-canceling headphones.
The spa’s outdoor wellness programming and amenities are scheduled to debut in February. The Wellness Waters area will include three hydrotherapy pools—Flow (main pool), Still (salt pool), and Chill (cold plunge)—with mountain views. The Villa, a private pool suite, features a double treatment room, a heated vitality pool, and a lounge patio for groups of up to 10 people.
The renovated spa features 20 treatment rooms, including three double suites. The treatment menu is organized into four Pathways to Well-Being: Detox, Soothe, Harmonize, and Restore. Each pathway includes signature treatments and corresponding wellness activities such as guided hikes, breathwork, sound baths, and restorative movement.
A new Wellness Studio provides yoga, sound baths, meditation, breathwork, and specialty classes. The resort’s 24-hour Fitness Center has been updated with Technogym equipment, Peloton bikes, strength-training zones, and personal training options. Pathway-aligned programming rotates seasonally.
Ora Café, the spa’s new dining venue, offers dishes and beverages developed with input from a licensed nutritionist. The menu features items such as Shakshouka, Kefir Yogurt Açai Smoothie Bowl, and Power Bowl, as well as beverages such as adaptogenic smoothies and signature lattes. Ora Café is led by Restaurant Chef Jennifer Mikhaiel.
The spa also includes a retail area featuring skincare and wellness products, as well as a Nail Lounge offering manicure and pedicure services. The salon features Dazzle Dry, a vegan and cruelty-free nail system.
