Jack Schlossberg, a New York congressional candidate and the nephew of the late John F. Kennedy Jr., called out the FX television series Love Story, produced by Ryan Murphy, in a recent interview.
Love Story, a biographical series about the romance between John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette before their untimely deaths in an aviation accident in 1999, released early in February. During his appearance on CBS Sunday Morning yesterday, Schlossberg slammed Murphy and the show for being “a grotesque display of someone else’s life,” claiming that the show’s interpretation of events are inaccurate.
“If you want to know someone who’s never met anyone in my family, knows nothing about us, talk to Ryan Murphy,” he said in the interview.

Schlossberg’s opinions on the show are consistent to the ones he expressed last summer, in which he shared similar criticism in June of last year and expressed his frustration that the Kennedy family was seemingly not consulted during the production of the series.
Schlossberg also accused Murphy and FX of profiting off of the Kennedy tragedy, and called on the producer to donate the profits from the show to a philanthropic cause in line with his uncle’s values. “Maybe he would donate some of that money to the JFK Library to help keep President Kennedy’s memory alive, but he’s not. He’s making money. This is not a documentary,” he said.
He warned viewers of the show to keep in mind that everything they see while watching Love Story is “a capital F, for ‘fiction.'”
So far, Love Story has six of the nine scheduled episodes released and sits on a 79% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Starring Paul Anthony Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon, the series has received mixed reviews from critics across different publications. The final episode is set to premiere on March 26 on Hulu and Disney Plus.
