Kimpton Era Midtown New York has opened at 32 West 48th Street, introducing a 33-story hotel with 529 guest rooms and four dining and bar concepts in Manhattan.

Kimpton Era Midtown New York has opened at 32 West 48th Street in Manhattan. The 33-story newbuild was designed by Extell Development Company and is the first hotel under Extell’s direct management. The property features 529 guest rooms, including two suites and nine rooms with outdoor terraces. Select suites offer connecting “lock-off” capabilities and pull-out couches.

The hotel’s interiors were designed by INC Architecture & Design, with architecture by SLCE Architects. The property includes a self-service check-in counter on the ground floor and a third-floor lobby with a manned reception desk. Each guest room features a window seat and city views. Rooms above the 15th floor on the south side offer views of the Empire State Building and 1 World Trade, while select north-facing rooms provide sightlines to Rockefeller Center and Fifth Avenue.

Amenities include a 1,375-square-foot gym open 24 hours, equipped with Peloton bikes, yoga mats, and cardio equipment.

Four dining and bar concepts are operated by Apicii. The Parlor, located in the main lobby, is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and serves as an all-day gathering place, hosting the Kimpton social hour each evening. Bar Rocco, conceptualized by chef Rocco DiSpirito, is an Italian American brasserie open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with views of Rockefeller Plaza.

Amasa, a Latin steakhouse with a menu by chef Christopher Loeffl, is scheduled to open in March 2026. Bar Amasa, the restaurant’s street-level cantina, will serve Latin cocktails and Mexican tacos. Jade Rabbit, a rooftop Asian izakaya offering 360-degree views of Manhattan, is scheduled to open in April 2026.

The hotel is located in Midtown Manhattan, with access to nearby landmarks and corporate offices. Room rates at Kimpton Era Midtown New York start at $450 per night.
