Louis Theroux’s Next Documentary ‘Inside The Manosphere’ Heads To Netflix Exclusively in March

The legendary British documentarian, Louis Theroux, will be Netflix-bound with his first feature-length documentary exclusive to the streamer. Here is everything you need to know about Louis Theroux: Inside The Manosphere, landing on the streamer this March.

Louis Theroux has become synonymous with deep dives into subcultures, controversial figures, and the fringes of society for the past few decades. He’s covered everything from the Westboro Baptist Church and Scientology to criminals of all shapes and sizes, and, more recently, the complexities of Israeli settlers.

To date, this is the first time he’s presented a documentary for Netflix, having called the BBC his exclusive home since the premiere of Weird Weekends in the late 1990s. Netflix has distributed a number of Mindhouse Productions (the company he co-founded) titles, though, including Tell Them You Love Me in 2024 and Can I Tell You A Secret? (labeled as a Netflix Original) later that year. Elsewhere, the production house has worked on titles for CNN, Sky, Prime Video, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and Dave.

Here’s what we know about the project, the release date, and who Louis will be interviewing.

When is Louis Theroux: Inside The Manosphere on Netflix?

Netflix has confirmed that the documentary will be available to stream globally on Wednesday, March 11th, 2026.

The feature has a runtime of 90 minutes.

What is the documentary about?

Directed by Adrian Choa, the film follows Louis Theroux as he travels to hotspots such as Miami, New York, and Marbella to immerse himself in the world of extreme online influencers and content creators who are redefining modern masculinity. He explores terms like “red-pilling,” examines how these figures are influencing young men’s values globally, and even interviews the women in their lives who support these controversial views.

According to the official synopsis provided by Netflix:

“Louis immerses himself in their ecosystem, encountering prominent figures within the movement, each presenting their own interpretations of traditional gender roles and values… [He] examines the appeal of these ideas and attitudes, as well as the perspectives of the women in their lives who appear to support them.”

In an exclusive interview with Deadline, which broke the news of the documentary this morning, Theroux revealed that this project serves as a thematic successor to Netflix’s hit limited series, Adolescence. While he clarified that the film is “nothing like Adolescence,” he noted that “it’s in the precinct of what the boy in Adolescence might have been watching.”

Interestingly, this documentary presented a unique challenge for the veteran broadcaster: the subjects were filming him while he was filming them. Theroux described a “feedback loop” to Deadline, where he would end up on the social media timelines of his interviewees in real-time. “I’d arrive back from filming trips and my kids would say, ‘Dad what you were doing? You got owned,’” Theroux told Deadline. “That’s a little bit painful but actually makes for a stronger film.”

As hinted at, it was no surprise Louis Theroux was doing this documentary, given that one of the subjects, Harrison Sullivan, streamed Louis with them live on Kick back in July 2025:

The documentary has a crossover with a previous series Theroux did for the BBC called Forbidden America, which covered the internet’s impact on American society, including online figures behind the rise of the American far right, including Theroux talking to Nick Fuentes.

Who appears in the documentary?

In Inside The Manosphere, he sits down with some of the internet’s most contentious figures. Confirmed appearances include:

  • Harrison Sullivan (AKA HS Tikky Tokky)
  • Myron Gaines (AKA Amrou Fudl from the Fresh and Fit Podcast)
  • Nicolas Kenn De Balinthazy (AKA Sneako)
  • Justin Waller
  • Ed Matthews

The documentary is produced by Mindhouse Productions, the company founded by Theroux, Arron Fellows, and Nancy Strang. The executive producers are Louis Theroux, Aloke Devichand, and Arron Fellows.
