Netflix Adult Animated Series from Mike Schur & Titmouse Revealed With 2026 Premiere

Netflix has yet another adult animated sitcom in the wings for 2026. Variety and Deadline, along with Netflix, announced DANG!, a brand new comedy series hailing from comedy veterans Andrew Law, Matt Murray, and Mike Schur.

The new project reunites several alumni from beloved NBC comedies like The Good Place and Parks and Recreation, bringing their signature humor over to the animation world.

The series is created by a powerhouse team of comedy writers. Andrew Law (Hacks, The Good Place) and Matt Murray (Parks and Recreation, The Good Place) will serve as Showrunners, Writers, and Executive Producers on the project. Also attached as an Executive Producer is television heavyweight Mike Schur. Schur has a growing relationship with Netflix, having recently developed the Ted Danson comedy series A Man on the Inside for the streamer, and has just been confirmed for a surprise season 3. 

Joining them on the executive producing team are Alan Yang (who famously co-created the hit Netflix Original Master of None), David Miner for 3Arts Entertainment, and a robust team from the acclaimed animation studio Titmouse: Chris Prynoski (The Legend of Vox Machina), Shannon Prynoski (Scavengers Reign), Ben Kalina (Big Mouth), and Antonio Canobbio (Digman).

The series is being produced by Universal Television (a division of Universal Studio Group) with animation provided by Titmouse, a studio that’s worked with Netflix on many projects including Haunted Hotel (renewed for season 2), Big Mouth, and the upcoming spin-off Mating Season, Trivia Quest, We The People, and Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld, among many more. In fact, we clock their Netflix credits at over 20 now for TV alone.

Speaking on the announcement, Showrunner, Writer, and EP Andrew Law offered a tease for the new series: “We’re beyond thrilled to partner with Netflix, Universal Television, and Titmouse on DANG! We hope that you fall in love with these characters. Or at least find them very, very attractive. Sexually.” 

Naturally, the series will land with a TV-MA rating for violence, nudity, language, and smoking. 

What is the plot of DANG!?

The logline for the series reads:

“DANG! follows a brother and sister duo whose fun, messy lives in New York City are interrupted when their worst nightmare comes true: their high-achieving older sister shows up and wants to hang out with them.”

Who is in the voice cast for DANG!?

The voice cast for DANG! is already shaping up to be stellar, featuring a mix of Academy Award-nominated talent and hilarious television mainstays.

Lending their voices to the lead trio are:

• Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All At Once, The Rocky Horror Show, Netflix’s The Monkey King)
• Poppy Liu (Netflix’s His & Hers and No Good Deed, Hacks)
• Andrew Law (Hacks)

When will DANG! release on Netflix?

Production is expected to be nearly complete on the project; Netflix only stated it’ll aim for a 2026 release. We can report, however, that our understanding is that the series’ Netflix release date is planned for late September 2026.
