Pip is back on the case! After a massively successful first season, the hit YA mystery series A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is returning to our screens for Season 2. Netflix has just dropped a brand new trailer, a striking new poster, and a batch of first-look stills. Here’s your comprehensive guide to everything we know so far about Season 2.

Produced by Moonage Pictures in co-production with the BBC, ZDFneo, and Netflix, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder took the world by storm when it debuted in August 2024, quickly claiming the No. 1 spot on Netflix’s Global Top 10 TV (English) list for its first week and dropping out after 3 weeks, after picking up 90M hours watched and 19.5M views. By the end of 2025, its total viewership had hit 148.7M hours watched and 32.2M views.

Now, the adaptation of Holly Jackson’s beloved book series is moving on to book two: Good Girl, Bad Blood.

Here is everything you need to know about Pip’s next thrilling investigation.

First Look: ‘A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder’ Season 2 Images & Cast Revealed

When is A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 coming to Netflix?

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 will premiere on May 27th, 2026. The new season will consist of six 45-minute episodes, as first confirmed on April 1st.

Note on regional availability: As with Season 1, the series will launch globally on Netflix with a few notable exceptions due to co-production rights. It will air on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer in the UK and Ireland, exclusively on ZDFneo in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and exclusively on Stan in Australia.

What is the plot of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2?

Season 2 will be a direct adaptation of Holly Jackson’s second novel in the series, Good Girl, Bad Blood.

Here is the official logline for the upcoming season:

“After solving the Andie Bell case, Pip is determined to fix the fallout – and stay away from any more investigations. But as Max Hastings’ trial approaches, Connor’s brother Jamie suddenly disappears, and Pip finds herself in a race against time to find him. This new mystery will take Pip to unexpected places as she struggles with the idea of justice, straying even further from the ‘good girl’ she once was.”

Netflix has officially unveiled the trailer for the new season, teasing a “bigger and badder” mystery. Alongside the trailer, Netflix released the official poster and a gallery of new stills highlighting the returning characters and some highly anticipated fresh faces joining the world of Little Kilton.

Who is in the cast of Season 2?

Emma Myers (Wednesday, Family Switch) is officially back as the determined teen sleuth Pippa “Pip” Fitz-Amobi, alongside Zain Iqbal, who returns as fan-favorite Ravi Singh.

They will be joined by a host of returning cast members from Season 1, including:

  • Henry Ashton as Max Hastings
  • Asha Banks as Cara Ward
  • Yali Topol Margalith as Lauren Gibson
  • Jude Morgan-Collie as Connor Reynolds

New Cast Members for Season 2:

Little Kilton is getting a few new residents, and their arrival is going to shake things up. The new cast includes:

  • Eden H. Davies (Tell Me Everything) as Jamie Reynolds: Connor’s brother and a quiet but popular local musician whose sudden disappearance kicks off the season’s central mystery.
  • Misia Butler (KAOS) as Stanley Forbes: A figure on the fringes of the investigation with connections that may run deeper than they seem.
  • Jack Rowan (Noughts + Crosses) as Charlie Green: Pip’s new neighbor who gets drawn into the unraveling mystery.
  • Freddie England as Robin: A controversial new addition to Pip’s friendship group who begins dating Lauren.

Other new additions to the cast include Anna Brindle, Peter Sullivan, Freddie Thorp, Lu Corfield, and Stephanie Street.

Author Holly Jackson couldn’t be more thrilled with the new additions. “Eden is sensational as our Jamie, his presence felt throughout, even though he’s missing,” Jackson shared. “Misia is the perfect Stanley Forbes, delivering a truly heart-wrenching performance. And Jack as Charlie Green is simply extraordinary: I had to stand and clap at the monitors. Just you wait.”

Who is behind the scenes of Season 2?

Fans of the books will be delighted to know that author Holly Jackson is taking a more hands-on role this time around. For Season 2, Jackson serves as co-writer and adapter alongside Poppy Cogan, who adapted the first season.

“I am BEYOND thrilled that we can continue Pip’s story and, this time, I’m writing on the show!” Jackson said. “We owe everything to the dedicated fans, and I can’t wait to reunite with my AGGGTM family!”

The series is once again produced by Moonage Pictures (The Gentlemen, Bodies). Executive producers include Matthew Read, Simon Crawford Collins, and Frith Tiplady for Moonage; Lucy Richer, Danielle Scott-Haughton, and Katherine Bond for the BBC, alongside Holly Jackson and Poppy Cogan.
