Omni Hotels & Resorts has opened the Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel, a 29-story property in Broward County featuring 801 guest rooms, over 120,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and six dining venues.
Omni Hotels & Resorts has opened the Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel, a 29-story property on the Intracoastal Waterway in Broward County. The hotel features 801 guest rooms, including 82 suites, and offers more than 120,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Amenities include six dining venues, an expansive pool deck, a full-service Mokara Spa, and a fitness center.
The hotel is located near the Broward County Convention Center and the Port Everglades Cruise Terminal, and is minutes from beaches and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The opening is the result of a partnership among Omni Hotels & Resorts, Broward County, and Visit Lauderdale.
The property’s design was developed by Matthews Southwest, Nunzio Marc DeSantis Architects in collaboration with Stantec as architect of record, and Balfour Beatty as design builder, with interiors by EoA Group. The design references the “Barefoot Mailmen,” 19th-century couriers who connected Florida’s coastal communities. The lobby is designed as a gathering space, and the Ibis Sky Lounge on the 29th floor offers views of the city and ocean.
The hotel incorporates organic materials, layered textures, greenery, natural hues, water-inspired motifs, and artwork by South Florida artists. Guest rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, and the two Presidential Suites on the 27th and 28th floors each span more than 3,000 square feet with private balconies and panoramic views.
For meetings and events, the hotel provides a 30,000-square-foot Waterway Ballroom, a 15,000-square-foot Port Everglades Ballroom, 47 individual spaces, 27 breakout rooms, and outdoor terraces across three levels. The property is adjacent to the Broward County Convention Center, which offers over 1.2 million square feet of space and a six-acre outdoor waterfront plaza.
Dining options include Reef 76 Kitchen & Bar, Fair Ketch with a Topgolf Swing Suite, Hidden Key Bar & Lounge, Leeward Market, Tide Coastal Kitchen for hotel guests, and the Ibis Sky Lounge. A signature Italian chophouse is planned for 2026.
The 8,500-square-foot Mokara Spa features eight treatment rooms, a Hammam, a steam room, a courtyard with a plunge pool, and a relaxation lounge. The spa offers massages, facials, body treatments, salon services, and wellness activities, including yoga, Pilates, sound healing meditation, and group fitness classes. The pool deck includes private cabanas and an event lawn with views of the Intracoastal Waterway and the ocean.
