Pokémon Go‘s end-of-summer wrap-up event, “Pokémon Go Fest 2026: Mega Finale,” runs on Saturday, Sept. 5 and Sunday, Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. in your local time on both days. This finale brings back the one and only Armored Mewtwo, which has been MIA since 2020.
This event isn’t nearly as robust or bonus-loaded as the main Go Fest event, but it’s a great time to catch up on Mega Evolution-eligible Pokémon or score any extra Mewtwo Mega Energy that you may need. As usual with these events, type-based “habitats” will rotate in and out every hour, showcasing different wild Pokémon, as well as changing what’s in raids. Luckily, Armored Mewtwo should be around in raids all day.

Pokémon Go Fest 2026 Mega Finale event bonuses
Most of the bonuses for this event are tied to the Go Pass, which debuted earlier this week as part of the “Mega Ascension” event. As a reminder, here’s what they are:
- Rank 1: Link Charge storage limit increased to 2,000.
- Rank 1 (deluxe): Increased chance of encountering your chosen partner and its evolutions as shiny Pokémon
- Rank 2 (deluxe): Increased chance of encountering shiny Pokémon from four-star Mega Raids
- Rank 3 (deluxe): Earn 3 additional Candy, 1 additional Candy XL, and 5,000 additional XP from Mega Raids
- Rank 70 (deluxe): Increased chance of encountering shiny featured Pokémon in the wild during Go Fest 2026: Mega Finale weekend event hours.
Additionally, there are two free bonuses that aren’t tied to the Go Pass:
- No limit on remote raiding during the weekend
- All Mega Evolved Pokémon will gain an extra CP Boost during the weekend
The Go Pass will unlock after you choose between Mega Chesnaught, Mega Delphox, or Mega Greninja as part of a quick Timed Research.
