Pokémon Go’s “Precious Pals” event features a strange array of Pokémon. Some of them have buddy requirements to evolve, some need a ton of candy, and some are… Goldeen. This event runs from Jan. 20-25.
This event has a few bonuses, including additional Candy XL with your buddy. You’ll also get more hearts with your buddy Pokémon during this event, and a few of the featured Pokémon have had their evolution requirements lessened during the event period. Sylveon will only require 20 buddy hearts, Pangoro will only require 10 caught dark-type Pokémon, and Pawmot will only need 5 km walked.
Additionally, shiny Fidough will be making its debut with this event, so keep your eyes out for a toasted bread dog.

If you pay $4.99, you can access this Timed Research set. This set isn’t really worth it unless you want the Heart Pose trainer cosmetic, or if you’re really jonesing for more of these Pokémon spawns. You can see the steps below.

- Take a snapshot of your buddy (Goldeen, Eevee, or Pawmi encounter)
