Roots just launched a limited-edition collection with these iconic Canadian landmarks

27 July 20263 Mins Read

Roots has just released a new, limited-edition series that celebrates some of Canada’s most iconic roadside destinations. Pit Stops Summer ’26 fuses a mix of fashion, food, and cultural storytelling with a Canadian influence.

The new series highlights six Canadian food spots that just ooze nostalgia and pride. They were designed in collaboration with Toronto-born multidisciplinary artist and illustrator, Moya Garrison-Msingwana aka GANGBOX.

What to know about Roots’ Pit Stops Summer ’26

The featured landmarks include COWS, founded in Prince Edward Island; Montreal-based La Banquise and St-Viateur Bagel; The Big Apple and Webers Hamburgers from Ontario; and Vancouver’s Duffin’s Donuts.

“Roots has always been part of the moments that define a Canadian summer: the road trips, the detours, and the familiar stops that become just as memorable as the destination,” said Leslie Golts, chief marketing officer at Roots.

“These places are where memories are made with friends and family. They’re part of our shared Canadian experience. Celebrating iconic Canadian food favourites and the communities behind them felt natural for Roots because they’re part of our story, too.”

You can sport these designs through T-shirts, crewnecks, tote bags, and baseball caps, too. And of course, crews and T-shirts were made in Canada, crafted from 100 per cent organic cotton.

The collection is priced as follows:

  • Roots x Pit Stops Summer ‘26 Crews: C$168
  • Roots x Pit Stops Summer ‘26 T-shirts: C$68
  • Roots x Pit Stops Summer ‘26 Caps: C$44
  • Roots x Pit Stops Summer ‘26 Totes: C$44

To celebrate the launch, Roots is hosting a three-day “Route 73” pop-up at The Well in Toronto from July 29 to 31.

Here you’ll be able to explore the collection and take part in destination-inspired activations.

In addition to this pop-up, those shopping at Roots Hornby, Roots CF Toronto Eaton Centre, and Roots Centreville on July 28 will also get an exclusive giveaway from select restaurant partners with the purchase of a participating Pit Stops Summer ‘26 item. These are available while supplies last.

Talk about nostalgia, Canada!
