Selena Gomez is ready for summer, and she has the flaming red hair to prove it. The singer and actress, who’s currently in London with her Only Murders in the Building co-stars, Martin Short and Steve Martin, took to Instagram on June 2 to post a carousel of photos showing off her new fiery new do.

“Wild things happening with [Only Murders in the Building] while adoring london 💕,” she captioned the post. Many of her fans were convinced that her vibrant new transformation was for professional reasons.
“This orange hair???? hmmm 🧐 I need to know what’s going on in this season!!” A fan commented. “Gorgeous😍. can’t wait for the new season,” wrote another.
Most were in agreement that, not only did the color look gorgeous on her, but it was definitely a wig. “it’s a wig for the new season of omitb,” One person wrote.

In the first picture, the Wizards of Waverly Place star is wearing a green ball gown adorned with a white-and-green Victorian-style collar. In the second and fifth photos, she is on a pier in front of the London Eye, first with Martin and Short, and then on her own. With her foot kicked out behind her, she looks delighted to be in their company and to have the sun shining on her.
The fourth and ninth photos are selfies: the first of an ethereal Gomez staring demurely at the camera, and the second showing off her red hair. The carousel ends with a video of Gomez lying on a bed. She holds her phone up to the mirror and strikes seductive poses and pouts for whoever is receiving the video.
There are a couple of candid shots of Gomez and two friends in a rowboat, the three panning, grinning for the camera in one shot, their feet scrunched close on another.

Filming for Season 6 of Only Murders in the Building began in May. Season 5 ended with Mabel (Gomez), Oliver (Short), and Charles (Martin) discovering that their true-crime podcaster rival Cinda Canning (Tina Fey) has been murdered outside their apartment building. The trio heads across the pond to solve her crime, while getting mixed up in another.
