Sheraton Opens Port Moresby Hotel in Papua New Guinea

Sheraton Port Moresby Stanley Hotel & Suites is in Port Moresby’s central business and government district, five minutes from Jacksons International Airport. The hotel is connected to Vision City Mega Mall and is Marriott International’s second property in Papua New Guinea.

The property has 394 accommodations, including 284 guestrooms, 15 suites and 95 apartments. The apartments include separate living areas, kitchens and dining spaces.

The hotel has more than 2,500 square meters of meeting and event space, including Papua New Guinea’s largest ballroom. Its venues are intended for conferences, corporate meetings and social gatherings and include integrated technology and event planning services.

Dining venues include Silverleaf, Greenhaus, &More by Sheraton, Monsoon Bar & Lounge, and the Pool Bar & Café. Silverleaf serves seafood and meat prepared over a Josper grill, along with Mediterranean-inspired dishes, and has private dining space. Greenhaus offers buffet service with live cooking stations, artisan breads, New Guinea coffee and pastries.

&More by Sheraton combines a coffee shop, market stall and bar in the hotel lobby. Monsoon Bar & Lounge serves cocktails, beverages, and Australian and American-style pub dishes. The Pool Bar & Café serves international dishes.

The lobby includes a Community Table, soundproof Booths and technology-equipped Studios. The hotel’s wellness facilities include an infinity swimming pool, a fitness center and a full-service day spa.

The hotel is in Port Moresby’s government, sporting, commercial and cultural hub. The Papua New Guinea Football Stadium is across the road from the property.
