The sun is out, Vancouver is buzzing, and some of the city’s biggest, most beloved festivals of the year are set to hit the streets this spring and summer. So get ready to mark your calendars, because all of these are free to attend!
Try a new cuisine, connect with your community, and dance your heart out in the street. Here are Vancouver’s most highly anticipated street festivals, and when they return in 2026.
Lapu Lapu Day Festival 2026 is planned to take place on the weekend of April 17 to 19, 2026, in partnership with Latincouver, Blueprint Events, and EventLAB. This weekend was specifically chosen to allow for festival programming in addition to memorial gatherings and time for mourning in light of last year’s tragedy.
Organizers say that more details, including time, location, and programming, will all be announced soon. More than anything, this year’s event is about creating space for community care, connection, and healing.

Italian Day on the Drive is Vancouver’s largest cultural street festival, transforming all 14 blocks of Commercial Drive into a lively celebration with fresh gelato and cannolis, patio sips, and plenty of pizza and pasta to go around.
Note that the deadline for vendors to apply is Jan. 31, 2026.

Hosted by the Hellenic Canadian Congress of BC (HCCBC), the 52nd Annual Greek Day on Broadway will span multiple blocks throughout Kitsilano’s Greektown.
Taking place between MacDonald and Blenheim Streets, the beloved festival will feature authentic Greek food, live music, traditional dance performances, and interactive activities that promise fun for the entire family. Stay tuned for more details to come.

While Pride weekend encompasses a whole host of fun events, its annual parade and adjoining Davie Village Pride Festival (free to enjoy) are definitely a highlight, and they’re set to take place sometime between July 25 and Aug. 2, 2026. Taking place in August 2026, the Pleasant Day Festival by the Mount Pleasant BIA brings Main Street to life with an all-local market, dozens of food trucks and restaurant pop-ups, and plenty of fun for the whole family to enjoy. Visitors can also expect to enjoy live music across four outdoor stages, making this a true street party vibe.
The application deadline for vendors is March 30, 2026.

Vancouver’s largest free arts and music festival is back this summer. Khatsahlano is a long-standing tradition that transforms West 4th Avenue in Kitsilano into a day party like no other, complete with food and drink vendors, live music across multiple stages, and beer gardens scattered throughout the festival.
Local businesses along West 4th participate in the fun, creating a high-energy array of pop-ups that attendees can peruse at their leisure.

Every year, one of the largest Japanese Canadian festivals in the country takes over the historic Powell Street neighbourhood, Vancouver’s Japantown. The festival showcases the art, culture, and heritage of the Japanese Canadian community through a wide range of performances, exhibitions, and traditional eats, and it’s slated to return on Aug. 1 and 2, 2026.
Vendor applications are now open, and festival-goers can look forward to live dance, theatre, film screenings, martial arts performances, and much more.
