Looking to switch careers and make good money at a new gig? You’re in luck, because the City of Edmonton is hiring for a ton of jobs this June, and many pay more than $100,000 per year.

The City has countless jobs available, from full-time and part-time to contract work, with some providing outstanding benefits. There’s something for everyone, too, with open positions ranging from personal trainers to peace officers, accountants, and engineers.

So start the summer off right and check out some jobs with the City of Edmonton that pay a pretty penny.

Learning administrator

Who should apply: This role is a great fit for someone who’s organized, reliable, and comfortable being the go-to person in a busy office. If you’ve got solid admin or customer service experience, can juggle multiple priorities, and are confident handling scheduling, emails, records, and basic financial admin while keeping things running smoothly, you should consider applying.

Salary: $46,933 to $58,280 per year

Electrical safety codes officer II

Who should apply: Someone with hands-on electrical experience who can balance technical precision with real-world decision-making. You should apply if you’ve worked as a journeyperson electrician or electrical technologist/engineer, know how to interpret and enforce electrical codes confidently, and can handle inspections and plan reviews independently.

Salary: $99,961 to $125,629 per year

Who should apply: This is an ideal role for someone already in fire protection, safety codes, or a related construction field who wants to step into a more enforcement-heavy, public-facing role. You should apply if you have experience inspecting buildings for fire hazards and understand fire and building codes well enough to apply them in the field.

Salary: $92,584 to $136,972 per year

Who should apply: This role is a good fit for someone who can turn climate data and policy into real decisions that shape how a city plans, spends, and operates. If you have experience in climate policy, environmental planning, or public-sector strategy, can manage complex projects, and are comfortable translating emissions, risk, and sustainability goals into business cases and budget decisions, consider applying.

Salary: $51.61 to $65.21 per hour

Who should apply: If you write well, think fast, and turn ideas into clear, engaging stories that actually land with people, you may be a perfect fit for this role. You should apply if you’ve got communications or journalism experience, can juggle multiple deadlines, and know how to handle media and messaging in a calm, professional way.

Salary: $68,521 to $87,471 per year

Who should apply: This role is ideal for someone who’s hands-on in ecology or environmental science and enjoys being out in the field as much as working with data. You should apply if you have experience with wildlife monitoring or remote sensing tech like cameras and acoustic recorders, can handle GIS and data management, and are comfortable working across departments to turn field data into useful information for climate and wildfire decision-making.

Salary: $85,977.58 to $107,415 per year

Who should apply: Someone experienced with data, systems, and logistics and can keep complex inventory operations running smoothly. You should apply if you have experience in supply chain, inventory planning, or ERP systems like SAP, are comfortable working with data to predict demand and fix stock issues, and can work with different teams to make sure critical parts are where they need to be without wasting money or overstocking.

Salary: $85,977 to $107,415 per year
