Lovers and couples out there, check out what we’ve got in store for you.

For this season, we’ve got the cutest and coziest winter date ideas in Edmonton to take inspiration from. Whether you want something active and exciting, something quieter and more intricate, or are just looking to have a good time, this list will have you covered.

Without further ado, let’s jump into things.

Tuft Time Studio is Edmonton’s newest tufting studio, offering a haven for artists, crafters and anyone curious about the meditative art of tufting and fibre arts. Here, you tuft an entire piece, starting at $98, spending four to five hours with your partner just creating.

For only $30 extra, you both can take turns tufting a design you chose together!

Where: 9851 70th Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $98+

This is the true test of a relationship: trying to beat an escape room.

Edmonton has a plethora of escape rooms, all the way from north to south. We made a list of some of the best ones to check out and our favourite rooms in each and every one.

Known as the city of festivals, it’s no question that Edmonton offers a collection of winter celebrations. From music festivals to pure ice-carving winter fests, we created a list of some of the best ones to check out, all of which are perfect for that Friday-night date night.

In this one-hour experience, you can be dragged along a horse-driven wagon in the gorgeous river valley. If you’re looking for a more intimate experience, private rides are available upon request.

Even though hot chocolate is included in this experience, make sure to dress for the cold!

Winter City Weekends is the perfect date night opportunity.

In January and February, there’s going to be a long list of DJ performances, free skating, free dancing, and so much more. You don’t just have to plan your date for one day; you can go the entire weekend, every weekend.

Where: Sir Winston Churchill Square — 100th St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $27.67

The Muttart Conservatory is Edmonton’s own gorgeous botanical gardens, which change every couple of months. This month’s theme for the feature pyramid is Prehistoric Paradise, featuring dinosaurs everywhere the eye can see.

You can also join them on Valentine’s Day for extended Adult Only (18+) hours. You’ll be able to enjoy the botanicals and projections at night, as well as local artist Dana Wylie playing music amongst the plants.

Where: 9626 96a St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.

Everyone knows Alberta has an extensive list of cottages and cabins to run away to during the winter. It only makes sense to escape to one when the weather is cold and dreary, or the city is too stifling. It’s also the perfect way to get alone time with your loved ones.

We’ve created a list of some of the best cabins to visit, so feel free to check it out.
