There’s a free fall festival near Edmonton with live music and over 50 vendors

19 October 20263 Mins Read

St. Albert, a city just north of Edmonton, is holding its inaugural Autumn Festival this week with local vendors, food, and loads of free programming to enjoy.

According to the St. Albert Downtown Business Association, this festival is following the success of the city’s first-ever Night Market in May. The association is bringing that same vibrant energy back this October for a new Autumn Festival, a free event taking over St. Albert’s downtown streets.

For those looking to explore the City of St. Albert this fall and get a taste of these community vibes, this festival is the perfect excuse to visit.

What to expect at St. Albert’s Autumn Festival

On Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 5:30 to 9 p.m., vendors, food trucks, and visitors will be flooding Perron Street.

According to Never Better Company, one of the main supporters of this upcoming festival, there will be:

  • Over 50 vendors to explore
  • Food trucks with dinner and treats
  • Live music throughout the evening
  • Kids entertainment (including, but not limited to, jugglers and stilt walkers)

In addition to these main attractions, there will be much more free programming. Not to mention, you’re also welcome to check out some of the fantastic local businesses located on Perron Street.

“The Autumn Festival is about more than a market,” the St. Albert Downtown Business Association writes online. “It’s an opportunity to discover the people and businesses behind our local economy, connect with neighbours and celebrate everything that makes shopping local in St. Albert special.”

What to know before attending the festival

There’s a free shuttle that will take you to and from downtown St. Albert during the festival. St. Albert Downtown Business Association has the full shuttle schedule on their website.

The shuttle to and from St. Albert Centre Exchange runs every 20 minutes, while the shuttle to and from Naki Transit Centre runs every 30 minutes. These shuttles both start shortly before 5:30 p.m. and end before 9:30 p.m.

Whether you’re just looking to check out some cool vendors, stick around and listen to music, or just grab a bite to eat, this festival will be bringing all the best vibes. So, if you’re looking to embrace the autumn season before winter strikes, St. Albert’s Autumn Festival is definitely going to match your energy.

When: Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026
Time: 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Where: Perron Street, St. Albert, Alta.
Cost: Free
