There’s a studio in Edmonton dedicated entirely to adorable puppy yoga classes

7 October 20263 Mins Read

Stretch and Fetch is Edmonton’s resident puppy yoga studio, offering beginner-friendly classes year-round with the cutest partners imaginable.

According to their website, Stretch and Fetch was the first to formally introduce puppy yoga to the city. This curated, care-led experience is just as much for the puppies as it is for the people. Here, you’ll find a welcoming environment which invites guests of all skill levels to relax and engage with these developing pups.

For those dog-lovers in your life, there’s going to be no better event. Grab some friends and get geared up for some stretching, because these puppies are just waiting for your arrival.

What to expect at Stretch and Fetch

These yoga classes run each month throughout the year, with the specific dates and sessions being rolled out ahead of the new month. This October, there are classes running every weekend.

During the classes, there will be a number of puppies roaming around the room for you to visit and play with. Each 60-minute class includes:

  • A 45-minute guided movement portion
  • A 15-minute portion to relax with the puppies
  • Wellness drinks to enjoy during your visit
  • A Polaroid keepsake card to take home
  • Yoga mats (for class use)

The personal benefits of these classes for individuals include stress relief, with the light movement and laughter boosting your mood, calming your nervous system, and leaving you feeling recharged.

You aren’t going to be the only one benefiting from these classes, either.

According to their website, the business’s priority is creating an environment where the puppies feel safe, supported, and respected alongside the guests.

Stretch and Fetch has built in rest time for the animals, works with carefully vetted breeders and rescue organizations, and creates a calm, controlled environment during classes for the puppies to socialize at their own pace. For these critters, these sessions help them build confidence outside of their home setting.

So, don’t worry; these pups are definitely going to have as much fun as you will.

How much are tickets?

Tickets for each class are $49 plus tax, and as of Oct. 7, you’re able to check out and purchase all October class tickets online. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.

If you’re looking to get a good stretch in, surrounded by the cutest critters, look no further. These puppy yoga classes are here to deliver from here on out.

When: Saturdays and Sundays year-round
Time: Various times
Where: 10419 124th St., Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $49 plus tax
