There’s an all-new medieval faire bringing knights and vikings to Alberta

20 August 20263 Mins Read

Northern Enchanted Faire is coming to the Edmonton area as an exciting new medieval faire, featuring knights, armoured combat, and an entire Viking village to explore.

Over in Sherwood Park, Northern Enchanted Faire is bringing thrilling live entertainment to both the indoors and outdoors, featuring blacksmithing demonstrations and a massive market all across the grounds.

If you’re ready to take a step back in time, you’ll definitely want to check this new event out.

What to expect at the upcoming Northern Enchanted Faire

When is the Northern Enchanted Faire?

This medieval faire will be taking place at the end of this month from Aug. 28 to 30.

Where does the medieval faire take place?

You’ll be able to head east of Edmonton to Sherwood Park’s The Pointe Agricultural Event Centre to find this festival. This venue regularly hosts all types of agricultural and community events.

What is there to do at the faire?

You’ll be able to explore everything the fest has to offer, and with the grounds spanning from indoors to outdoors, there will be live entertainment in every direction you go.

First and foremost, the HACSA (Historical Armoured Combat Sports Association) Knight Tournament will feature historical fights from folks all suited up. Taking you further back in time are the blacksmith demonstrations and the entire Viking Village available to roam. There’s also going to be a market both indoors and outdoors. The vendors list has not been released yet.

Not to mention, the outdoor pavilion will be fully tented with seating available at the stage to watch performances and take in enchanting decor throughout.

Will there be food?

There will be a Mead Garden put on by U-Turn Local Eatery & Kitchen. There will also be food trucks and vendors you can find on-site.

Are pets or animals allowed?

Pets are prohibited, but service animals are permitted.

How much are tickets?

Tickets are available now and start at $5 for Friday evening. Saturday and Sunday tickets are $15 each, but a weekend pass only costs $25.

Kids 14 and under are free to attend the event.

When: Friday, Aug. 28, to Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026
Time: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday (market open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.); 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday
