This Calgary street is getting a pop-up night market this spring

17 April 20263 Mins Read

You might drive down this street in Calgary regularly without thinking twice, but once the sun sets in spring and summer, it transforms into a night market.

The Inglewood Night Market is back for its first pop-up market on May 8, 2026, taking over 10th Avenue SE with vendors, food, and live music right in the middle of the neighbourhood.

Set in one of Calgary’s oldest and most walkable neighbourhoods, this is not your usual market setup. Inglewood already has an amazing variety of patios, vintage shops, cafés, and local businesses that make it feel quite different from anywhere else in the city. Still, on market nights, the whole street completely changes pace!

It’s one of those events that marks the shift into warmer weather in the city as Calgary slowly starts to move back outside.

About the market

The Inglewood Night Market will take over 10th Avenue SE, turning the street into a full market with over 60 local artists and food vendors. It’s not something you walk through quickly; there is something happening at every corner.

You can expect food trucks, live music, and pop-up stalls lining the sidewalks with everything from small-batch treats to handmade goods.

The first market will take place on May 8, 2026, but lucky for you, the market isn’t just popping up for one night; there are multiple market dates throughout the summer on June 12, July 10, Aug. 14, and Sept. 4 and 11, 2026.

And it’s not just staying in Inglewood either. The same idea has now expanded into other Calgary spots like Marda Loop and 4th Street, each with its own vibe depending on the neighbourhood.

Want to know the best part about this event? It’s completely free to attend and dog-friendly, making it easy to show up with little planning.

I think we have all been waiting for the weather to finally warm up in Calgary, and this market is just a reminder that those brighter days are actually on their way.

When: Friday, May 8, Friday, June 12, Friday, July 10, Friday, Aug. 14, 2026
Time: 5 to 10 p.m.
Where: 1235 26th Ave. SE, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Free to attend
