This Toronto park is about to light up the night with a magical winter art exhibit

11 February 20263 Mins Read

Toronto is about to get a little brighter this winter with the return of spectacular illuminated installations by Lumière: The Art of Light. Toronto’s Trillium Park will host a free outdoor exhibit, showcasing a number of unique light structures.

Running from Feb. 16 to March 27, 2026, Lumière: The Art of Light will take over the Ontario Place Park, lighting up the night sky each evening from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

This year, the event celebrates the theme “Rhythms of Light: Motions, Sound, and Time,” displaying cold and imaginative works by talented Ontario-based artists. From intricate installations to immersive displays, the exhibition offers a chance to see how light can transform space, inspire creativity and create magical moments.

As for participating artists, keep an eye out for these:

  • Arbor – MattCreative
  • Blueberry Babies Signal Path – Winta Hagos
  • Constellation Range – Jordan Shaw
  • Echoes of Light – Jordan St. Claire
  • Möbius Ensemble – Bitbrainz
  • Moment – M. Joakim
  • PORTAL – Tonya Hart
  • Rhythms of Chaos – Binalpreet Kalra, Maggie Wang, Kallie Zhang
  • Ripples in Time – Gathering
  • switch/grass – Nathan Fischer, Daniel Pechersky, Diana Tran, Liam Clarje, Joe Kinsella
  • Urbanombre – Little Dada + the Boys
  • Voice in Matter – James Craig, Agata Wszolek, Alex Warner
  • We Move Together – Tyler Burey
  • WIND II: The Wave – Samuel Kiehoon Leen

For those hoping to warm up between exhibits, bonfires at Trillium Park will be lit on opening night, Friday and Saturday evenings, and nightly during March Break – weather permitting. It’s a great way to cozy up, sip something warm and soak in the glowing lights.

Lumière: The Art of Light is free to attend, and a perfect option, especially for Family Day.

Mark your calendars and bundle up, Toronto. Prepare to be enchanted by a celebration of light, art, and imagination unlike anything else in the city this season.

When: Feb. 16 to March 27, 2026
Time: 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Where: Ontario Place, Trillium Park, 955 Lake Shore Blvd. W.
Cost: Free
