Toronto is getting a siren-inspired pop-up bar and it looks like an actual fairytale, Canada Reviews

17 August 20262 Mins Read

If you’re looking to swap the mundane world for a moody, ocean-inspired hideaway this autumn, a siren-inspired pop-up bar is heading to Toronto to deliver a night of pure fantasy and flowing champagne.

Dubbed Bar Sereia, the temporary cocktail lounge takes its cues from deep-sea lore and the hypnotic pull of the ocean depth. Designed as an atmospheric retreat tucked within a larger fantasy realm, the spot promises an impressive lineup of espresso martinis, signature cocktails and a grand comeback for sparkling bubbles.

The nautical refuge will make its main local debut inside Enchanta Village, an after-dark fantasy festival returning to Toronto for its second season. For two nights only, the historic Village at Black Creek will transform into a candlelit storybook village filled with live theatre, roving performers and more than 50 artisan vendors selling oddities and hand-crafted goods.

Beyond grabbing a drink at the bar, visitors can catch a live performance by The Toronto String Quartet playing rock covers under the stars, or dance late into the night at a Halloween-inspired party featuring live bands. Costumes are practically mandatory — guests are encouraged to break out their finest gothic fashion, elaborate cosplay, or dramatic ball gowns for a chance to win best-dressed awards.

The masterminds behind the festival, husband-and-wife duo Chris and Julia Zimmerman, originally launched the concept after moving from Toronto to Fergus to build a community space dedicated to nature and fairytales. The duo is bringing the siren pop-up to their flagship venue at the CW Sportsplex Forest in Fergus on September 25 and 26 before heading to the city.

Bar Sereia will be serving up drinks inside Enchanta Village at The Village at Black Creek in Toronto on October 2 and 3, running from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Single-day adult tickets start at $37 plus applicable fees, and are available now through the official Enchanta website.
