Trestle Studio has completed the acquisition of Lakeway Resort & Spa, a waterfront property on Lake Travis in Travis County, Texas, in partnership with Sopris Capital. The resort occupies an 11-acre peninsula and includes 168 guestrooms.
Lakeway Resort & Spa opened in 1963 as the first resort of its kind in the Lakeway community. The property offers access to more than 65 miles of shoreline and a variety of water-based recreational activities. It is located near championship golf courses, wineries, and downtown Austin, and is about a 40-minute drive from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Trestle Studio plans a comprehensive renovation and modernization of the property, including updates to guestrooms, spa and wellness offerings, food and beverage programming, and club amenities. Planned enhancements will address the design of the property, refresh more than 24,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, redevelop locally-driven culinary concepts, and expand wellness and recreational programming.
Lakeway Resort & Spa joins Trestle Studio’s portfolio, which includes The Hotel Chalet in Chattanooga and the forthcoming Sítio El Tropicano in San Antonio. Additional details regarding the renovation timeline and future programming will be announced at a later date.
