Virginia Guesthouse Hotel & Conference Center is scheduled to open in April 2026 on the University of Virginia’s Grounds in Charlottesville, offering 214 guest rooms, three dining venues, and over 25,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Virginia Guesthouse Hotel & Conference Center is planned to open in April 2026 at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. The property will feature 214 guest rooms and suites, three dining venues, and more than 25,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

The hotel will be located on the University of Virginia’s Grounds, near the Ivy Corridor gateway and within walking distance of the university’s Lawn, School of Data Science, Karsh Institute of Democracy, John Paul Jones Arena, Palmer Park, and Scott Stadium. The property is designed to accommodate a range of guests, including leisure travelers, conference attendees, university visitors, alumni, and local residents.

Dining options at Virginia Guesthouse will include Poplar, a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a menu focused on regional cuisine and seasonal ingredients. The Counter Café will offer coffee, pastries, and snacks, while The Perch rooftop bar will serve cocktails, local beers, and light fare with views of the university and the surrounding area.

The meeting and event facilities at the hotel will encompass more than 25,000 square feet, including a grand ballroom with capacity for nearly 1,000 guests and additional spaces for smaller meetings and gatherings. The property will be IACC-certified and equipped with audiovisual technology, onsite catering, and an attached public parking garage.

The ground floor of the hotel will include a Welcome Center, which will serve as a starting point for university tours and select events, with staff available to assist guests and visitors. The hotel is positioned to support university-related activities, including department retreats, faculty seminars, academic workshops, student organization meetings, and university celebration events.

Virginia Guesthouse will also be available for community events, including weddings, social gatherings, and meetings hosted by local organizations. The hotel’s dining and social spaces will be open to both travelers and Charlottesville residents.

Nightly guest room rates at Virginia Guesthouse are scheduled to start from $220.
