As elementary and high schools let kids out for the summer, the question of “what are we doing today?” might be the recurring one parents hear for the next two months.

On Wednesday, June 17 at 1 p.m. ET, parenting columnist David A. Robertson and lifestyle columnist Amberly McAteer will be answering your questions about what to do with your kids over the summer break. Sure, you might have some camps lined up and a family vacation thrown into the mix, but it’s a long summer ahead (Labour Day isn’t until Sept. 7!), so some inspiration might be needed.

What easy activities can you put together for your kids? Is it still possible for your teenager to get a job, and what could they do? And how can today’s kids learn to embrace boredom?

Submit your questions now in the comments or using the box below, or send an e-mail to audience@globeandmail.com with “Parenting question” in the subject line.
