Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, officially titled Runners, will be released on Saturday, June 6 after the maintenance and Shattered live event.
Season 3 will shift the map again with new POIs, weapons, mechanics, and much more. As always, there will also be a new battle pass featuring a cel-shaded John Wick. Additionally, we’ll see the return of sprites, which were first introduced in Chapter 6 Season 1.

While there is not an official release time for Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, it’s expected to start at around 7 a.m. EDT on Saturday, June 6. Previous Fortnite seasons have started around 7 a.m. EDT, but as the current season will end with a live event the actual launch time is a little up in the air. The last maintenance after a live event took around seven hours, so there’s a chance that the next season is ready before the expected time.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 sees the return of sprites as one of the season’s main mechanics. Sprites are small NPCs that can provide the player abilities depending on the sprite. However, in Chapter 7 Season 3, it appears that more sprites will be joining the party. While there isn’t any official confirmation on what is returning, there’s a chance we’ll see Earth Sprites and Sprite Shrines in the new season as well, so there will be a bunch of new ways to get good loot.
Additionally, the battle pass outfits have been revealed. If you purchase the battle pass on launch week, you’ll receive a bonus Gold Huntress Dylan outfit along with matching accessories. As sprites are the main feature for this season, they’ll also appear as a customizable mech skin. However, the best skin is always saved for last. John Wick is making a return to the Fortnite battle pass, but this time they’ll be in pen and ink style. You can also grab John Wick’s beloved dog as a sidekick!
