There is one man who was no longer interested in the role. This is why he left early and said he was on the Netflix show for the wrong reasons.
Kai Stone of ‘Temptation Island’ Fell for Another Applicant

Kai Stone made a strong first impression in season 2. “Your girlfriend’s hopping on the plane with me, duh! Back on my island, duh. On the surfboard, duh. In the crib, duh. In the Toyota Tacoma, duh. Watching sunsets, duh. Getting piped under the stars, duh,” the Hawaiian surfer told the camera. None of that happened.

“I’m the duh guy from Temptation Island,” he introduced himself in a TikTok. “Looking back on it I’m like, “God damn I was f—ing douchebag level 10,000,” Kai said. “I can’t believe I said all that sh-t.” He revealed he made a strong connection before filming.
“But I met this girl like six weeks before I went on the show and she was actually interviewing for Temptation Island as well,” he explained. “I’m like, what are the odds of that, right? And we’re both interviewing as singles.”
He said he knew he was “cooked” when they met. “You just think about them all the time, and when you’re trying to talk to someone else in a romantic sense or even in a friendly sense, like if it’s a girl or a guy, you’re not really there mentally,” Kai said.
He claimed he tried to leave the first day, but producers convinced him to stay. He told them he was there “for the wrong reasons,” and he left the show days later. Everything worked out because he’s now in a relationship.
