IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

A lunar eclipse on your birthday means you need to be smart about what battles you choose to fight over the coming year. If you can, stay on good terms with everyone. If you can’t, make sure you only confront those who truly deserve it.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

You may be tempted to act first and ask questions later under the influence of today’s lunar eclipse, but that could be a big mistake. Difficult as it may be for someone as impatient as you, the best course of action is to do nothing at all.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

Do you risk telling a small lie in order to avert a potential crisis? No you do not. The planets urge you to speak the truth today even if by doing so it seems to stir things up even more. Honesty is the best policy by far.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

By all means be generous with your time today, but don’t be so generous that you have no time left for yourself. On the home front, there are serious issues that must be dealt with, so put your own needs and the needs of loved ones first.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

No matter how desperate you may be to improve your lot in life, you must resist the urge to take risks and cut corners. The universe is on your side at the moment but it won’t be for long if you do stuff that is morally questionable.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

Focus on your most important goal today and ignore activities that are likely to eat into your time and energy, no matter how much fun they may be. This is a serious situation and you need to be serious about the way you respond.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

Today’s lunar eclipse will in some way or other drive a wedge between you and someone you love. Nothing bad will come of it so long as you remember to stay calm and not let your fear of rejection get the better of you.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

It is of the utmost importance that you read the small print carefully today, even if you think you know what you are signing up for. A temporary blind spot in your ability to notice errors could lead to a major loss further down the line.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

If you agree to take on a new responsibility today, you could find later on that you are expected to do much more than was originally intended. Your best course of action by far is to simply say “no,” even though you might prefer to say “yes.”

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

Because today’s lunar eclipse cuts across the professional and domestic angles of your chart, you may find that you don’t have enough time or energy available to meet all your responsibilities. On this occasion, it’s okay to put your career needs first.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

It’s not like you to get emotional about things that deep down you know don’t really matter, but you may be hard pressed to stay calm today. It will, though, enable you to let off some of the pressure that has been building up to dangerous levels.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

If you are tempted to say something less than flattering to someone who has let you down, it might be better to bite your tongue and let it go. In the greater scheme of things, it’s no big deal, so why risk creating an enemy?

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

You are in no mood to take orders, even from people whose status is more elevated than your own and whose opinions you would normally respect. Just be careful you don’t offend someone who has the power to make life difficult for you.
