IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

Great things are possible for you this year but they won’t come for free. The more you raise your sights the more you will have to raise your game and put in the hard yards that separate the drifters and dreamers from the serious doers.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

You have been a bit hyperactive of late but the entry of Venus into your sign will encourage a more measured approach to life. Stop chasing after every minor opportunity and only go for the big stuff, then you’ll do well without exhausting yourself.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

A sacrifice of some kind may be necessary today but the good news is it will be worth it. If you give up something of only minor value that you no longer need you will create room for something bigger and better to come into your life.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

Friendships are under excellent stars and over the next few days there will be no end of opportunities to get out into the world and have fun with people whose outlook on life reflects your own. If you’re not smiling, you’re not doing it right!

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

The best way to impress people in positions of power is to show them that no matter how ramped up the pressure may get you have what it takes to raise your own game. Cancer is a cardinal sign, which means you were born to win.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

Not only will you provide the lead that other people are looking for but you will do so in such an easygoing fashion that even your rivals will be impressed. When you are on this kind of form you truly are the king of the jungle!

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

The message of the stars is that no matter how challenging the situation you find yourself in may be you must be true to who you are and to what you believe. The more others pressure you to change the more you must dig in your heels.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

Venus, your ruler, moves into the partnership area of your chart today, which for friendships in general and affairs of the heart in particular will be a major boost. Think the best of everyone you meet and they will do their best for you.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

The more others scream and shout and run around like headless chickens the more you will stay calm and let the chaos and confusion wash over you. You know it isn’t worth getting worked up about matters over which you have no control.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

The entry of Venus into the most dynamic area of your chart means you will push ahead with your plans with great energy but also with an appreciation of how your decisions might affect other people. You are determined to do it right.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

The best way to deal with a problem on the home front is to leave it alone so it can sort itself out. There is no point trying to resolve the situation yourself because loved ones will rebel if they think you are making decisions for them.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

Try not to be so demanding of other people. The planets suggest you will get your own way more often than not if you make a serious effort to find out what friends and loved ones and work colleagues want and then meet them halfway.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

The entry of Venus into the financial area of your chart today should ease your money worries and maybe even put a bit more cash in your pocket. But you will still need to make savings. You have been spending far too much on luxuries.
