Your guide to Pride Month events happening in and around Edmonton

26 May 20263 Mins Read

Pride Month is almost upon us, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate.

Although the official Edmonton Pride Parade won’t be happening until August, there are still loads of events to get into the spirit of the season. Whether it’s checking out some unique historical pride archives at the Strathcona Museum or queening out with some drag queens over the weekend, it’s all going to be a party.

So, without further ado, let’s get into all the ways you can really surround yourself with the community.

Although this technically isn’t in June, I’m going to make it count for this list. You might be asking why? Because pride would absolutely not be the same without drag artists.

The Edmonton Drag Festival is on its way, slated to take over downtown Edmonton from May 29 to 31. These three days will be filled with extravagant drag activities, some of which will feature huge Drag Race names like Brooke Lynn Hytes, the host of Canada’s Drag Race.

When: Friday, May 29, 2026, to Sunday, May 31, 2026
Time: Various times
Where: Sir Winston Churchill Square, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: Free

This Sherwood Park museum will be holding a pride-centred day, with an exhibit launch in the afternoon and a sip and paint night in the evening. You can drop in throughout the day to connect, take part in museum activities, and visit their small community-curated Pride exhibit.

When: Saturday, June 6, 2026
Time:
10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Where:
913 Ash St., Sherwood Park, Alta.
Cost:
Admission by donation

From drag brunch, storytime, live music and DJ sets, as well as a vendor market, there’s so much to do as we celebrate all the 2SLGBTQIA+ vibrancy within the community.

When: Saturday, June 6, 2026
Time:
11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Where:
Grindstone Theatre — 10019 81st Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost:
Free

Join the Fruit Loop team at the historic Starlite Room as they celebrate Pride with an Edmonton dance party in support of Rainbow Refuge.

When: Saturday, June 13, 2026
Time:
8 p.m.
Where:
Starlite Room — 10030 102nd St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost:
$28.75

This all-ages market is perfect for anyone looking for an evening getaway full of community vendors and food trucks. There will be over 85 vendors, artists, and local brewers, as well as food trucks. Not to mention, if you want something to celebrate the occasion, there are also flash tattoos available.

When: Friday, June 26, 2026
Time:
7 to 11 p.m.
Where:
Alberta Aviation Museum — 11410 Kingsway NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost:
Free

This one is dedicated to the sapphics, as Sapphic Avenue is hosting a pool party for Pride.

Here, you’ll be able to swim surrounded by comfort and freedom. Although you’re there to have fun and take a dip, this event is all about uplifting the community.

When: Saturday, June 27, 2026
Time:
5 to 9 p.m.
Where:
10535 65th St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost:
$34.87+
