1 Hotel Tokyo has officially opened in the Akasaka Trust Tower, marking the brand’s first property in Japan.

1 Hotel Tokyo is now open, occupying the 38th through 43rd floors of the Akasaka Trust Tower. Developed in collaboration between 1 Hotels and Mori Trust, the property anchors the Tokyo World Gate Akasaka mixed-use development. The hotel features 211 guestrooms, including 24 suites and three penthouses, with select rooms offering views of the Imperial Palace gardens and the Tokyo skyline.

The hotel’s design was created by the architecture and design studio CRÈME. Interiors incorporate sustainable materials, curated greenery, and locally crafted décor. The property has achieved CASBEE S certification, Japan’s highest rating for environmental performance. Water conservation measures and refill stations are implemented throughout the hotel to reduce single-use plastics, and reclaimed and local materials are used in construction and furnishings.

Dining options include three venues: NiNi, Spotted Stone, and Neighbors Café. NiNi, led by Head Chef Nikko Policarpio, offers a menu that blends French Riviera and Japanese cuisine, featuring Provençal herbs, seafood, and dishes such as Maguro Tartare. The restaurant uses a Josper Grill Oven and offers a seasonal afternoon tea and weekend brunch. Spotted Stone is a bar focused on Japanese craft gin, with a collection of nearly 100 varieties. Neighbors Café provides coffee, teas, and food items, including products from The Matcha Tokyo and local businesses.

The hotel offers more than 460 square meters of event space, including the Sakura and Camellia rooms and three private dining rooms, all located on the 38th floor. These spaces accommodate meetings and celebrations and feature natural light and views of Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Bay.

Wellness facilities include the Bamford Wellness Spa, developed in partnership with Carole Bamford. The spa offers facial and body treatments incorporating shiatsu, reflexology, acupressure, and other modalities. Signature treatments include the 1 Hotel Tokyo Experience, Japanese Bamboo Massage, and Green Tea Healing Facial. Additional wellness amenities include The Field House, a 24-hour fitness space with Technogym equipment and fitness classes, and an indoor pool with access to an outdoor deck.

The hotel also features the Audi Electric Vehicle Experience, providing guests with complimentary access to a fully electric Audi Q6 e-tron for city exploration.

1 Hotel Tokyo is located in the Akasaka district, with access to neighborhoods such as Ginza, Roppongi, and Shibuya. The area includes parks, shrines, and embassies.
