14 May 20264 Mins Read

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and it’s the perfect weekend to get out and do all the things you’ve been wanting to do.

This weekend has so much to offer in Edmonton. The number of markets happening is incredible, not to mention everything opening up because of the nice weather. Since there is so much, we’ve listed all the best things to do this weekend, just for you.

Let’s get into it, shall we?

There’s no question that Edmonton has some of the best escape rooms. We’ve got the best of them in a list for you to check out as a family, and maybe, just maybe, you might be able to escape.

Where: Various locations
Cost: $25+

We’ve rounded up some of the best hikes and trails in and around Edmonton. Whether you’re a beginner, a seasoned hiker, or just a casual trail lurker, we’ve got something for everyone. These trails are also good in the summer and for year-round walking, but we recommend them this time of year.

Where: Check out Curiocity’s guide to hiking trails
Cost: Free

This year-round market is home to over 120 different vendors, and more than 80 per cent of those vendors are local, who make, bake, and grow their own products. It offers so much more than you could ever imagine, so you’ll just have to check it out yourself.

When: Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday
Where: 3696 97th St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.

Fort Edmonton Park is one of Edmonton’s most historic places. The Fort acts as its own time travel portal into the late 1800s. Throughout the winter and fall, it runs a couple of programs, but in the summer, the park truly comes to life. If you’re looking to get the full experience of the park, this is definitely the time to be going.
