Who’s ready for another gorgeous sunny week in Vancouver? We know we can’t get enough of it. This week, the Vegan Night Market is back, Vancouver’s free-to-enjoy container market reopens downtown, and so much more. Here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (April 27-May 1).

Pat Metheny single-handedly redefined the jazz guitar sound through his decades of music, which has earned him a record-breaking 20 Grammy Awards across 10 different categories in his career. The legend himself is coming to Vancouver this Monday, and fans of the genre will absolutely not want to miss him.

When: Monday, April 27, 2026
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Where: 777 Homer St. 
Cost: $98.20

Tons of delicious food and drink vendors await at the upcoming Vegan Night Market, which takes place biweekly on Thursdays at 1515 Discovery St., or at Locarno Beach.

When: Thursday, April 30, 2026
Time: 6 to 9:30 p.m.
Where: 1515 Discovery St. 
Cost: Admission by donation

It’s officially baseball season, which means the Vancouver Canadians are back at the Nat, and this week, they’re up against the Hillsboro Hops.

When: Games from Tuesday, April 28 to Friday, May 1, 2026

The Dance Centre has a fun lineup of performances just in time for International Dance Day, including an outdoor Vogue workshop, a choreography walk, and studio showings of new works in development, and most events are free to check out.

Vancouver’s free-to-enter container market is back on April 30 with over 30 new food and artisan vendors to check out. The lively, open-air marketplace is now in its third year, bringing visitors together for live screenings of World Cup matches, live music, sips from a waterfront bar, and rotating pop-ups.

Time: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Fridays, and until 9 p.m. on weekends

True Story is back at The Improv Centre, fuelled by audience members sharing their true stories, with no hesitations or reservations. If you’re looking to break the ice with someone, there’s no oversharing here—just plenty of laughs and fun stories to go around.

Where: 1502 Duranleau St. 
Cost: $15 to $25 per person

YEBBA is a critically acclaimed singer-songwriter known for her jazz-influenced voice and collaborations with high-profile artists like PJ Morton, which earned her a Grammy.

The zipline is back, the less-than-$10 happy hour items are back, and tons of exciting new attractions await at this year’s Richmond Night Market, which kicks off at the end of the week! Soon, millions of visitors from across the globe will gather to share in the city’s excitement for FIFA season and beyond.

When: Opens Friday, April 24, 2026, operates Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays

You can pick up some cherry blossom-themed treats at this year’s Vancouver Cherry Blossom Food Fest, which brings new food and drink options to spots across the city.

The Improv Centre is introducing a hilarious new show based on a rotating crew of space explorers, who must rely on audience suggestions to explore a different “galaxy” every show.
