We’re on the cusp of the Labour Day long weekend and the final two-ish weeks of summer, so don’t sleep on making those plans. There are plenty of concerts and outdoor events to keep you busy before the weekend rolls around! Here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (Aug. 31-Sept. 4).

If your favourite way to unwind is on a yoga mat, preferably outdoors, then we have just the summer activity for you. The Lululemon Summer Yoga Series is back every Tuesday until Sept. 8, and it’s completely free to reserve your spot.

When: Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026
Time: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Where: 15 Wallace Mews, North Vancouver
Cost: Free admission

If you’re looking to catch a movie at Stanley Park, Evo Summer Cinema on Tuesdays is the event to mark down. For the grand finale this week, two classics will be screening at the Ceperley Park Playground: Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones.

When: Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026
Time: 9 to 11 p.m.
Where: 8701 Stanley Park Dr.
Cost: Free admission

It looks like a bit of that World Cup magic is making its way back to Granville Street before summer’s end. Public Disco has one final open-air disco planned for the 700, 900, and 1100 blocks of Granville Street, and you won’t want to miss it.

Time: 4 to 9 p.m.
Where: 700, 900, and 1100 blocks of Granville Street

If you’re craving a nostalgic drive-in movie night, this week marks your last chance to check out the Lansdowne Centre Drive-In Summer Series. This week, they’re screening Titanic.

When: Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026
Time: 8:30 p.m.
Where: Lansdowne Centre, Northwest parking lot
Cost: Free admission

Electropop fans, this one’s for you. Only a handful of tickets remain for the upcoming Slayyyter concert at the Commodore, but keep your eyes peeled for official resale tickets.

When: Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026
Time: 7 p.m.
Where: 868 Granville St. 
Cost: $650+

Multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Vandelux is performing at the Malkin Bowl this Friday, returning to his home city for a memorable night of music under the stars.

When: Friday, Sept. 4, 2026
Time: 6 p.m.
Where: 610 Pipeline Rd. 
Cost: $86.75

The zipline is back, the less-than-$10 happy hour items are back, and tons of exciting new attractions await at this year’s Richmond Night Market.

When: Operates Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
Time: 7 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and until 11 p.m. on Sundays
Where: 8351 River Rd., Richmond
Cost: $7 for GA

The iconic Shakespeare comedy The Merry Wives of Windsor is kicking off this year’s Bard on the Beach program, set in the community athletic centre of a (fictional) Vancouver suburb that happens to be obsessed with soccer. There are also a handful of other Shakespeare-inspired productions to keep an eye out for if you’re ready to check out what’s onstage next: Macbeth (now until Sept. 18), Goblin:Oedipus (now until Sept. 19), and Antigone (now until Sept. 18).

When: Shows throughout July, August, and September
Time: Showtimes at 2 and 7:30 p.m.
Where: 1695 Whyte St.
Cost: $30 to $103 per person, depending on seating

The beloved Shipyards Night Market is back every Friday until September, providing the perfect opportunity to hit some patios or breweries after work, enjoy some live music, and snag some food truck eats at Shipbuilders Square.

When: Every Friday until Sept. 12, 2026
Time: 3 to 10 p.m.
Where: The Shipyards, North Vancouver
Cost: Free admission

The Vancouver Maritime Museum has officially partnered with Vancouver by Sea to launch a new, immersive sailing experience that explores Vancouver’s fascinating maritime past and present, and the views alone are well worth it. The museum-to-yacht experience begins this Thursday, June 11.

When: Select Thursdays and Sundays in June, July, August, and September, starting June 11, 2026
Time: 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or 2 to 5 p.m.
Where: The yacht departs from Vancouver Maritime Museum — 1905 Ogden Ave.
Cost: $1,099 per group (up to eight passengers)
